This year's SOAC will feature a maximum of 130 male and female golfers, competing in two separate groups. This year, the Vietnamese delegation will not have any female representatives.
Notably, the tournament belongs to the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) system, which means that every round is important in improving the players' position on the rankings.
In particular, the individual champion will receive an invitation to participate in the Singapore Open professional tournament, a valuable opportunity for any young golfer aiming for a professional journey.
According to the competition format, after the first two rounds, the Organizing Committee will make a cut, keeping only 60% of the golfers with the best results to continue competing in the last two rounds to compete for the championship.
