The fact that many people remix the lyrics of children's songs, distorting their essence and meaning, and even remixing the music in an adult style, has caused a lot of controversy with the audience.

Attractive but leaves consequences
Children's music are compositions for children with pure, healthy lyrics that contribute to orienting children's thinking such as: Love parents, do good deeds... There are many children's songs that have become classics and are played by parents for their children to listen to every day such as: Two ducks, My teacher, Two little lizards...
However, in the past year, the above songs have been transformed into many new styles and lyrics, spreading widely on social networking sites. This has caused mixed reactions from the audience.
Among them, there is the song “Em la bum cua Dang” composed by musician Mong Lan in 1958. Since the beginning of 2024 until now, this song has suddenly become hot again and has been posted by many people on social networking platforms. Initially, there were covers in many different voices that created a good effect on listeners and viewers.
However, recently, some parody versions have been released with many offensive languages and orienting listeners towards negative messages such as: "Bamboo shoots report to old bamboo shoots" (meaning that naughty children harm adults and parents); or the parody "burning the haystack to burn the neighbor's house" - this is quite harmful, poisoning the souls of children.
It is worth mentioning that many people reuse these pieces of music as background music for their videos uploaded to the TikTok platform. That makes these parodies of songs with vulgar lyrics spread like wildfire. Not only are the lyrics written for children's songs offensive, but the remixing of the new version is also controversial.
Recently, singer Thu Minh was a guest on the Tre Concert program. In addition to presenting students with a series of songs such as Shadow of the Clouds Passing the Threshold, Bay… the female singer also attracted attention when she brought a new version of “Two Little Lizards” - a song that is familiar to children.
In this performance, Thu Minh had the opportunity to show off her strong voice, which has become her trademark. However, her performance received mixed opinions from the online community. Many people thought that the singer's reworking of a song that was already familiar to children was inappropriate.
Besides, the frequent growling of female singer Thu Minh also makes listeners feel uncomfortable, reducing the value of the song.
Previously, actor Le Duong Bao Lam's parody of Doraemon's music also became a controversial topic. The content of this parody is ridiculous, but the actor continuously performed it in game shows such as San dau lyric, Khuon mat dang viet... in official programs or behind-the-scenes videos that have passed the station's censorship.
Need to remove Remix offensive, avoid poisoning children
If you search the keyword “nhac chup nam non” on TikTok, social media users can easily come across parody music clips with offensive lyrics. More importantly, there are clips with millions of views. Meanwhile, TikTok and many other social media platforms still do not have age-restriction policies.
In the last week of June 2024, “bamboo shoots” entered the top 10 most popular topics on social networks. It would be a cause for concern if this song was remade with vulgar lyrics, which are currently a “hot trend” among young people.
Musician Nguyen Van Chung - who has composed a series of songs about children, said that he disagrees with many people who remix songs for children that are offensive and distort the message. Therefore, it can be seen that with songs for children, it is necessary to eliminate songs with harmful lyrics, to avoid making offensive lyrics become a trend, causing many consequences for young people.
