Over the past 5 years, the emulation movement "Military Logistics Sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings" (PTTĐ) has been comprehensively and extensively deployed by the armed forces of Military Region 2, closely linked with the Campaign "Management and exploitation of good, durable, safe, economical and traffic-safe technical weapons and equipment". The PTTĐ Steering Committee of the Military Region has developed and set out the goals and targets of the PTTĐ close to the characteristics and actual situation of each unit, focusing on ensuring good logistics for units in remote and disadvantaged areas; overcoming weaknesses; promoting good practices, effective models, advanced units, and organizing replication throughout the Military Region.

PTTĐ has urged agencies and units to make efforts to overcome difficulties and perform well the task of ensuring logistics for training, combat readiness and other urgent tasks.

In particular, in early 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, the Logistics sector advised the Military Region Command to develop and deploy urgent tasks on epidemic prevention and control; coordinated the organization of 345 quarantine points, established warehouses and transported and distributed medical supplies and nearly 19 million doses of vaccine to 9 provinces, effectively promoted "4 on-site"; organized logistics support for the Military Region's armed forces to successfully complete their tasks during the epidemic. The Military Region was assessed by the Ministry of National Defense as one of the best epidemic prevention and control units in the entire army.

Regarding the work of feeding the troops, the Party committees and commanders at all levels have decentralized the creation of reasonable sources, strictly managed food money standards right from the source creation and processing stages; promoted increased production; regularly consolidated processing stations... to help stabilize and improve the lives of soldiers. The main quantities in the food rations such as meat, fish, beans, eggs all exceeded by 5-18%; the daily food ration for infantry soldiers reached 3,256 kcal/person/day (exceeding the regulation by 56 kcal); the annual production increase target always exceeded the set plan with product prices always being 10-15% cheaper than the market price at the same time. Over the past 5 years, the profit value from increased production in the entire Military Region reached 141.13 billion VND, equal to 108.4% of the target.

Units in Military Region 2 have also proactively closely monitored the epidemic, provided guidance and propagated epidemic prevention and control in various forms, creating a fundamental change in the awareness of officers and soldiers in building a scientific and hygienic lifestyle. The average healthy military rate over the past 5 years has reached 99.12%/year, exceeding the annual plan target by 0.32% (98.8%); effectively implemented the work of "Combining military and civilian medicine", organized medical examination and treatment, provided free medicine and gave gifts to families and policy beneficiaries for nearly 20,000 people with a total amount of nearly 5 billion VND...

On this occasion, the Military Region 2 Command awarded certificates of merit to 29 collectives and 28 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the PTTĐ in the 2020-2025 period.
