Information Regiment 29 maintains the information "bloodline"

(GLO)- Promoting the glorious tradition of the two predecessor units, officers and soldiers of the 29th Information Regiment (34th Corps) today are determined to excellently complete all assigned tasks, especially maintaining the information "bloodline", ensuring the command work of the leaders of the 34th Corps, Ministry of National Defense.

New momentum

On December 25, 2024, the 29th Signal Regiment (34th Corps) was established on the basis of merging the 29th Signal Battalion (3rd Corps General Staff) and the 26th Signal Battalion (4th Corps General Staff). In addition to training and combat readiness tasks, the Regiment performs the task of ensuring communications for the Corps command and the Ministry of National Defense in the Central Highlands and Southeast provinces. The establishment of the Regiment is an important milestone in building an elite and modern communications force to meet the combat requirements of the new era.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Quoc Viet - Deputy Political Commissar of the 29th Information Regiment: When it was first established, the unit was scattered and had difficulties in food and accommodation for officers and soldiers. To quickly overcome the difficulties, the Regiment issued Resolutions to lead the entire unit to stabilize the organization, staffing, and ideology in order to effectively implement all aspects of work under the direction of superiors. The Regiment also advised and reported to superiors on plans to mobilize and appoint officers in affiliated agencies and units. Along with that, it is necessary to promote internal resources to consolidate regular, bright-green-clean-beautiful barracks and seek the support of local authorities at all levels in ensuring security and order in the area where the unit is stationed. "Nearly 7 months after its establishment, with the solidarity and efforts to overcome difficulties of the officers and soldiers in the unit, the Regiment has been operating stably and is carrying out its tasks with the highest determination," said Senior Lieutenant Colonel Viet.

Inheriting the glorious tradition of the two predecessor battalions, the officers and soldiers of the 29th Information Regiment are determined to successfully carry out the assigned tasks. Major Pham Hong Quan - Political Commissar of the 2nd Information Battalion - said: "In addition to focusing on training, combat readiness and performing other tasks, the unit also focuses on building a spirit of solidarity and the will to overcome difficulties in all situations. Along with the training task of ensuring communication, the unit also conducts training for new soldiers. The results of the training of all subjects in the past time of the Battalion have been good and excellent; 100% of officers and soldiers have strong political will. The officers and soldiers of the Battalion are determined to unite, create collective strength to complete all tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of all assigned tasks of the Regiment in the new situation".

Determined to practice and overcome all challenges

The working atmosphere and combat readiness training are taking place seriously and enthusiastically at the 29th Information Regiment. Under the humid weather of a day at the end of June, at the unit's training ground, the information soldiers of Battalion 2 actively train to maintain communication in all situations. Carrying heavy backpacks of military equipment, equipped materials and weapons, the information soldiers line up neatly, listening to the commander deploy the training content, which is a hypothetical situation about ensuring information for the 34th Corps' command communication in performing rescue and disaster prevention tasks.

After the commander's decisive command, the squads quickly moved to their deployment positions to carry out the task of changing status. After a short time, the teams performing the task on the information vehicle had smooth coordination and proficient movements; the equipment was connected smoothly, ready to transmit orders as required by superiors.

“Under the close leadership and direction of the Regiment and Battalion leaders, the unit has organized good training according to the elite criteria; in which, the unit focuses on training to strictly grasp the combat orders of the Corps Commander. The training is close to reality, from operating modern equipment to handling emergency situations. From there, officers and soldiers in the unit improve their professional qualifications and skills to better perform assigned tasks. Through training, vehicle crews such as radio communications, terminals... have coordinated smoothly, mastered equipment, ensured safety and secrecy when performing tasks, and handled situations quickly and accurately" - Captain Tran Duc Canh - Political Commissar of Company 4 (Battalion 2, Information Regiment 29) shared.

Talking to us, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Van Ha - Commander of the 29th Information Regiment - said: After its establishment, despite many difficulties, with a high spirit of determination and solidarity, the Regiment quickly stabilized its organization, staffing, and implemented its tasks. Specifically, the Regiment ensured good communications and combat readiness for the 2025 Lunar New Year according to the plans of the Ministry of National Defense and the 34th Corps. In early 2025, the unit ensured communications and television for the commander of the Command and the Corps agencies during the training to transition to combat readiness and was highly appreciated by the commander of the Command.

“We have invested funds to equip a surveillance camera system to ensure security and safety in the unit. Training is a key task, the Regiment has deployed comprehensive training in accordance with the orders of the Corps Commander. Through inspection, in the first 6 months of 2025, 100% of the subjects achieved good and excellent results, with the information major achieving excellent results. In the information major, we determined that the training was good and the mobile information squads met the elite criteria, ready to respond to all assigned situations. Up to now, the unit has ensured safety and the officers and soldiers are mentally secure. The unit has also been assessed to have ensured good logistics and technical work, with a healthy army exceeding the resolution of 99.2%. At the end of the past 6 months, the unit has completed the assigned tasks, contributing to building the Corps "elite, compact, strong" - Colonel Ha affirmed.
