The Ky Anh Regional Power Management Team manages 700 km of medium voltage lines, 1,125 km of low voltage lines with more than 70,000 customers (in communes and wards of Ky Anh district and the old Ky Anh town), and is one of the units with the largest area in the province. In addition to supplying electricity for daily life, production and business, the unit is also responsible for supplying electricity to the Vung Ang Economic Zone.
During the rainy and stormy season, this area is often in the "center" of heavy rains and strong storms that affect the operation of the power grid, causing incidents such as: fallen trees damaging power lines, falling power poles, damaging equipment causing power interruptions, etc.

Mr. Ho The Vinh - Deputy Head of the Ky Anh Regional Power Management Team said: “The area has many complex characteristics and unusual weather, so the unit always pays special attention to flood and storm prevention and natural disaster response, proactively developing plans early. Before this year's storm season, the unit organized natural disaster prevention and search and rescue drills, and at the same time, inspected, reviewed and corrected existing problems and defects on the power grid, cleared and handled violations of the power grid safety corridor... Responding to storm No. 5, the unit arranged a standby team in the areas; in the event of heavy rain, 100% of the force was on duty, vehicles and materials were ready to handle incidents if any, focusing on key areas such as coastal areas, mountainous areas and Vung Ang Economic Zone, making efforts to ensure safe and smooth supply".

Before the expected landfall of storm No. 5, the specialized teams of the Ky Anh Regional Power Management Team are still racing against time to complete tasks to ensure grid operation. At line 378.E18.3 in Ky Lac commune, staff and workers are renovating, checking meter boxes, 110kV transformer stations, and handling defects on the grid; at line 373.E18.3 in Ky Van commune, the force is coordinating with local authorities and people to clear and clear the grid corridor, minimizing the risk of trees falling on the lines when heavy rain occurs.
Mr. Le Xuan Linh - General Management Team No. 1 (Ky Anh Regional Power Management Team) said: "The area of Ky Van and Ky Khang communes has a lot of acacia forest, so the risk of incidents during heavy rain due to trees falling on power lines is very high. Therefore, we have to complete the clearing of the entire area as planned before the storm arrives. Our team has 6 people, and it is expected that the work will be completed by the end of August 23."

Since the beginning of June, the Cam Xuyen Regional Power Management Team has organized regular inspections of the power grid system, handled grid defects, inspected transformer stations, and cleared grid corridors. In anticipation of complex weather developments, response plans have been “turned on” to readiness mode.
Mr. Pham Tuan Anh - Head of the Cam Xuyen Regional Power Management Team said: “The unit has strengthened inspection work, promptly handled existing problems and defects; reinforced and secured locations that are likely to be affected by heavy rain and storms. At present, we have also completed the inspection of the entire backup battery system of the switching devices to prepare proactive troubleshooting plans, providing stable power to key areas during complex storms and rains; organized 24/7 on-call work, prepared materials, equipment, and human resources according to the motto "4 on-site".

With the spirit of not being surprised and striving to operate the power grid safely and smoothly, the power units under PC Ha Tinh are completing plans and solutions to respond to the approaching storm. On the morning of August 23, Ha Tinh Power Company also issued a telegram on proactively responding to the tropical depression. Accordingly, it requires affiliated units to regularly monitor the weather, fully and seriously implement the "4 on-site" motto, mobilize human resources, means, and materials to urgently deploy safety response work, prepare plans to overcome damage and incidents, and promptly restore power supply to customers.
Implement a 24/7 duty regime; develop a plan to mobilize human resources to quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters; organize propaganda on preventing electrical accidents in residential communities in areas affected by natural disasters...
With the spirit of not being passive or surprised, Ha Tinh electricity industry persists in the motto of "preventing the storm before it comes", contributing to maintaining the electricity flow to serve the people, accompanying the socio-economic development of the province.
