Capacity building for cooperative members on poverty reduction

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On August 11, the Thanh Hoa Province Cooperative Union organized a training conference to improve the capacity of cooperative members. This is a program under Sub-project 1 - Project 7, National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction 2025 - Phase I.

Attending the training conference, representatives of 40 cooperatives in mountainous and disadvantaged communes of the province were instructed on forms, registration procedures, reporting on the operation of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and cooperative unions according to Circular 09/2024/TT-BKHĐT, dated May 16, 2024 of the Ministry of Planning and Investment (now the Ministry of Finance ); popularizing topics on building product brands according to OCOP and VietGAP standards associated with local characteristics; mechanisms and policies for developing collective economy and cooperatives; guiding cooperatives to register booths on e-commerce platforms...

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan, Chairman of Thanh Hoa Province Cooperative Union delivered the opening speech at the conference.

During the 4 days, from August 11-14, in addition to learning theoretical topics, students participated in field trips and learned experiences in Nghe An province. Through this, students who are managers and specialized controllers at cooperatives have the opportunity to improve their professional qualifications, supplement their knowledge and experience to apply to the actual operations of cooperatives.

At the same time, the training program will provide additional skills and knowledge necessary for cooperative managers to support people and cooperative members to access and understand the State's policies for poor and near-poor households. Thereby, contributing to preventing and limiting people from falling into poverty; building effective production development models, improving the quality of life, gradually reducing poverty, and successfully implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction.
