Industrial production grew quite well.

In 2025, Binh Duong will strive to promote industry to continue to be a growth driver, striving for an Industrial Production Index increase of 12%. To complete the set goals, the Department of Industry and Trade is actively removing difficulties, facilitating all stages in the investment, production and business process, helping enterprises restore production, contributing to promoting economic growth.

In the first 5 months of 2025, industrial production activities in the province have improved, enterprises have proactively sourced raw materials, signed many export orders; many enterprises have boosted production to serve domestic consumption and export needs. Many key industrial production sectors of the province such as electronics, wood processing, machinery and equipment, textiles and garments have increased new export orders. This is a good signal contributing to promoting industrial production activities in the province. Mr. Tu Lam Quan, General Director of TCL Company (Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park II), said that the company is taking advantage of the "golden 90 days" (before the new tax policy of the US Government is implemented on Vietnamese goods) to take advantage of exporting goods; restructuring the value chain, improving structural weaknesses and switching to a sustainable growth strategy, diversifying markets; strengthening supply chains.

In May 2025, the province's Industrial Production Index is estimated to increase by 16.34% over the same period in 2024; the cumulative increase in the first 5 months of the year is estimated at 9.22%. The flourishing industrial production activities have created optimistic signals for the province's economy . Recently, Binh Duong organized the groundbreaking ceremony for Cay Truong Industrial Park and Bau Bang Industrial Park expansion (phase 2). To achieve the double-digit growth target in 2025, Binh Duong is determined to promote industry to continue to become a growth driver. In 2025, Binh Duong will develop 1-2 new industrial parks, 3-5 industrial clusters, prioritizing ecological industrial parks, high-tech industrial parks, and supporting industrial parks to create a foundation for the formation of a new generation industrial ecosystem, attracting stronger investment.

Boost automation

Binh Duong aims to become a smart manufacturing industrial center, widely applying automation solutions to production, contributing to improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the local industry. To realize this goal, Binh Duong has been implementing many synchronous strategies and solutions in investing in transport infrastructure, technology, developing high-quality human resources, supporting enterprises to research and apply new technologies to improve production and management efficiency.

Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade is supporting enterprises in transforming into 4.0 technology and enterprises set aside a Science and Technology Fund to improve production lines. Binh Duong also focuses on attracting investment in high-tech, environmentally friendly industries and fields, science and technology industry, 4.0 technology; promoting cooperation with domestic and foreign enterprises to share experiences, transfer technology and expand markets.

According to enterprises in the province, to keep up with the trend of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, enterprises must invest in modern equipment and machinery in production to increase labor productivity. Up to now, many enterprises in Binh Duong have pioneered the application of modern automation technologies in the production and business process, contributing to improving competitiveness in the market. Mr. Jack Xu, General Director of Motomotion Vietnam Co., Ltd., said that in the past, enterprises had to use a lot of workers to operate the production line, but since the enterprise invested in modern machinery and equipment, applied high technology and automation in production, now only one engineer is needed to operate, but productivity and product quality have increased significantly, while helping enterprises improve production costs. However, the application of modern technology and machinery in production also requires workers to have high technical skills and expertise to master modern technologies.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Luat, General Director of Cicor Vietnam, also said that applying technology and science and technology is the only way to help Binh Duong improve and increase labor productivity, compensating for the increase in labor costs for investors. To do that, Binh Duong needs to quickly develop science and technology, innovate to attract investors to industries with high science and technology content, high added value and less environmental pollution, along with the strategy to promote industrial development, technology 4.0.

According to the provincial leaders, Binh Duong aims to become a smart manufacturing industrial center, widely applying advanced automation solutions to production, contributing to improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the local industry. Binh Duong is preparing well the conditions, satisfying the needs of investors to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation, exploiting opportunities from the 4th industrial revolution to proactively welcome quality foreign investment projects towards sustainable development.

According to the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Binh Duong identifies industry as the main growth driver. Binh Duong focuses on modernizing existing industries, increasing the localization rate in supporting industries and developing high-tech industries, participating in the global value chain; developing ecological, modern, high-tech industries; making the processing and manufacturing industry a mainstay in the economy.
