Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on November 5 that the US cannot support Ukraine forever because Washington also has its own problems and, like European countries, is increasingly tired of the Ukraine issue as well as the financial burden.

A day earlier, NBC News reported that US and European officials were expressing doubts about Ukraine's ability to break the "stalemate" on the battlefield and were urging Kiev to join peace talks.
In an interview with Rossiya-1 , Mr. Peskov stated: “In both the United States and Europe, more and more people are tired of the Ukrainian problem, of the Kiev government and of the burden that (this Eastern European country) places on their shoulders.” The Kremlin representative clarified that he meant “the problem of financing the Ukrainian government, as well as the supply of ammunition and weapons.”
“Even the most economically powerful countries, such as the United States, cannot do this indefinitely and they have enough problems of their own… and at some point it all becomes too much of a burden for them,” Mr Peskov stressed.
Mr Peskov said Western countries understood that some of the money allocated to Kiev was being looted.
“They realized that a certain part of the money they provided to Ukraine was simply looted… And of course, they had to somehow explain to their voters why there were no proper mechanisms to monitor the disbursement,” Peskov asserted.
