Continuous heavy rain from the night of June 20 to the morning of June 21 caused many roads in Thai Nguyen city to be surrounded by water.

According to information from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, from 7:00 p.m. on June 20 to 9:00 a.m. on June 21, the entire province recorded rainfall ranging from 50 to 100 mm. Some localities had rainfall exceeding 200 mm, such as: Binh Son Commune (Song Cong City) 264.0 mm; Tan Thai Commune (Dai Tu District) 243.2 mm; Dong Quang Ward (Thai Nguyen City) 220.8 mm.
It is forecasted that in the next 36 hours, Thai Nguyen will continue to have heavy rain with rainfall possibly exceeding 100 mm. Mountainous areas due to steep terrain and weak soil are susceptible to landslides and flash floods.
