MU lost a lot of sponsorship money

Manchester United are set to suffer a huge financial blow after launching their 2025/26 training kit without sponsor logos.

MU announced training schedule without sponsor logo.

Typically, one brand sponsors the team’s playing kit, while another sponsors the training kit. However, United’s sponsorship deal with blockchain company Tezos, worth around £24 million a year, ended on June 30.

Most recently, the Old Trafford team launched a purple training kit, but without a sponsor. This means the club is currently losing a large part of its sponsorship income.

United have shared a series of photos of their players wearing the new training kit and other versions such as coats and jackets, including notable names such as Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Leny Yoro. Alejandro Garnacho is also seen despite being listed as a transfer target and likely to leave the club.

Immediately, many fans voiced their strong criticism. "No surprise", "Not many people want to associate with us", "What chaos", "MU is now losing value"... were the common reactions of fans.

The news of the end of the Tezos deal comes after it was reported that Marriott International would not be renewing its sponsorship deal. Meanwhile, Snapdragon will continue to sponsor the club’s kits, in a deal worth £300m over five years.

Club sources say a new kit sponsor will be agreed upon once the deal with Tezos ends. However, according to the Manchester Evening News , MU has not made any significant progress in finding a new sponsor.

The Tezos logo has been used by the first team for the past three years, and the logo has also appeared on the women’s kit. Signing a new kit sponsor early is an important step in helping to balance the club’s finances, as the club struggles with budgetary constraints.

Amorim's side will begin their Premier League season on August 17 at home to Arsenal.
