The North is getting hotter

In the next three days, the highest temperature in the North will increase by nearly 15 degrees Celsius compared to today, Hanoi will reach 33 degrees, then decrease again due to the strengthening of cold air.

The North has experienced nine days of severe cold, starting from February 24. This is the longest cold spell in late February and early March in about 20 years.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from today, the cold air will weaken, and the North will be sunny. In the next two days, this area will be affected by the low pressure area in the west, so the temperature will continue to increase. The provinces of Lai Chau, Hoa Binh , and Son La will be hot, with the highest temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.

The American Accuweather website predicts that Hanoi will have a temperature of 20-28 degrees tomorrow, and the highest will be 33 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. At high points over 1,500 meters above sea level like Sa Pa ( Lao Cai ), temperatures will continue to increase from now until the middle of next week, with the highest being 26 degrees and the lowest being 12 degrees Celsius.

The Central region will continue to experience clear and sunny weather for the next two days. On March 5, heat waves of 35-37 degrees Celsius will appear in the western mountainous areas of the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue. In the remaining areas, temperatures will generally be 31-33 degrees Celsius.

The South and Central Highlands will continue to be affected by a stable air mass next week, with no rain at night. The Central Highlands will have light fog in the early morning, with the highest temperature being 34 degrees Celsius, the South 33-36 degrees Celsius, and many places in the Southeast will be hot and sunny, 36-37 degrees Celsius.

Weather expert Nguyen Ngoc Huy said that the North is experiencing days of hot and cold weather that change constantly. After about three days of hot weather, cold air will flow in, causing the temperature to drop.

"Due to sudden heat and cold, people should pay attention to protecting their health, especially the elderly, children and people with respiratory diseases," Mr. Huy advised.
