With an easy 3-0 win over U21 Canada, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team entered the semi-finals of Shanghai Future Stars 2025. Coach Nguyen Ngoc Hoa and his team will face the Netherlands - the team that defeated U21 France in the quarter-finals.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is considered weaker than its European opponents. The Netherlands, in addition to their superior physique and physical strength, also has many high-class athletes.
The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is very confident before the semi-final match.
Meanwhile, coach Nguyen Ngoc Hoa's team only consists of reserve and young players. Key players such as Bich Tuyen, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Le Thanh Thuy, Khanh Dang... are currently in Vietnam preparing for the SEA V-League taking place in August.
Although not bringing the strongest squad to the tournament, under the guidance of coach Ngoc Hoa, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played well, both offense and defense showed progress after each match. Especially in the position of Kim Thoa, there was an impressive performance, leaving a mark in the recent victories of the VTV Cup 2025 champion.
In addition to their expertise, the fighting spirit of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team is also commendable. However, Kieu Trinh and her teammates must really "go beyond the limit" to be able to surprise the Netherlands.
In last year’s tournament, the Vietnamese women’s volleyball team finished 5th overall. This time, coach Ngoc Hoa and her team made it to the top 4, but they certainly don’t want to stop there, but do their best to defeat the Netherlands and win a ticket to the finals.
The Vietnam vs Netherlands women's volleyball match will take place at 3:00 p.m. on July 18.
