In 2024, OCB made a strong mark in pioneering the implementation of the sustainable development strategy (PTBV) with a series of initiatives on digital products, green credit, enhancing governance efficiency and transparent disclosure of ESG information. To date, ESG principles have been integrated into most of the bank's governance, internal operations and product and service development business activities to bring stable growth value to shareholders, investors, employees and customers as well as accompany the Government in the strategy of developing comprehensive finance, green finance to implement the Net Zero commitment by 2050.

In the field of human resource management, OCB identifies people as the core pillar for sustainable development strategy. The bank focuses on building an effective and happy working environment based on three pillars: attracting and developing talent, improving team capacity, and promoting diversity and equality.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - OCB Human Resources Director received the award "Human Resources Strategy for Sustainable Development" at the Award Ceremony.

Recruitment programs such as OCB Fresh Banker, implemented in conjunction with key universities, expand career opportunities for new graduates. OCB also invests heavily in improving the capacity of employees through training programs, developing a learning culture to help employees improve performance and meet OCB's expectations and market trends. The bank has continuously upgraded and updated its training system with more than 500 courses, attracting nearly 114,000 participants, creating a proactive and constantly developing learning culture.

In parallel, OCB focuses on developing the next generation through a potential human resource training program, with more than 200 employees participating in 2024. Opportunities to participate in digital transformation projects, green finance, and work with partners also create conditions for employees to develop future skills.

In particular, OCB demonstrates a strong commitment to gender equality by maintaining a female ratio of 55% of total employees and 44% at the management level - numbers that clearly demonstrate the orientation of comprehensive and fair development, creating conditions for female employees to develop in the finance - banking sector.

Training is not simply an activity, but a long-term commitment of OCB in developing people - the core factor for sustainable prosperity.

Not only developing internal resources, OCB also spreads values to the community through meaningful corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. The OCB Pin Hunter campaign with the message "Green old batteries - A healthier Earth" attracted nearly 10,000 participants, collecting nearly 5,000 kg of used batteries for proper treatment. The CSA 2025 Award “Human resource strategy for sustainable development” is a clear demonstration of OCB’s development vision – focusing on people, aiming for sustainable development, not only by growth rate but also by steadfastness, humanity and commitment to spreading positive values.

“At OCB, every employee has the opportunity to be empowered, encouraged to commit and make a difference – in line with the spirit: “Dare to think – Dare to do – Dare to create new values”. OCB leadership representative said.
