Selling E10 RON95 bio-fuel in the Central region - BSR promotes green transformation according to the Government's roadmap

On August 29, 2025, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) in coordination with Vietnam Oil Corporation - Joint Stock Company (PVOIL) commercially sold the first batch of E10 RON95 bio-gasoline by road, distributed in Quang Ngai province and neighboring areas.

This is an important step in the biofuel development strategy of the Vietnam National Energy Industry Group, in the Government 's biofuel roadmap, contributing to the implementation of the commitment at COP26 on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, towards the goal of net zero emissions by 2050.

BSR sells the first batch of E10 RON95 bio-fuel to the market

Previously, from August 2025, Petrolimex and PVOIL have deployed the distribution of E10 RON95 at a number of stores in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is seeking opinions on the draft Circular stipulating the roadmap for applying the biofuel blending ratio. It is expected that from January 1, 2026, all gasoline for gasoline engines nationwide will switch to E10; from 2031, it will be increased to E15 depending on socio-economic development conditions and ensuring energy security.

According to the plan, from September 2025, BSR and PVOIL will supply the market with 700 - 1,000 m³ E10 RON95 per month and gradually increase output. By January 1, 2026, the entire Central market in particular and the whole country in general will use E10 gasoline.

Tanker trucks receive E10 RON95 bio-fuel from Dung Quat Oil Refinery, ready for distribution in Quang Ngai market and neighboring provinces.

To prepare for this roadmap, BSR has proactively included biofuel development in its development strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045; at the same time, it has completed infrastructure and restarted Dung Quat Biofuel Plant to be ready to supply products by both road and sea in the near future.
