Earlier on the morning of September 21, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh said that preparations for the military field hospital to be sent to South Sudan for duty had been completed and it was ready to go.

According to Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, in addition to the support and facilitation of the Party, the State and relevant ministries and branches, the field hospital deployed by Vietnam in South Sudan has also received great material and spiritual support from many countries. Among them, Australia used military aircraft to help Vietnam transport all personnel and equipment to South Sudan on two flights on October 1.

After 5 years of professional training including: English, survival skills, military, peacekeeping skills, host country culture... Military Hospital 175 handed over Field Hospital 2.1 in its original state to the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department to participate in the United Nations peacekeeping force at the Republic of South Sudan mission (Africa) for a period of 1 year.
It is expected that on October 1, the delegation will depart for the Republic of South Sudan to carry out the mission.

This is the first time Vietnam has mobilized personnel at the unit level to participate in a UN peacekeeping mission. Medical officers and soldiers participating in the level 2 field hospital are trained and equipped according to the standards and requirements of the United Nations.
