In the final match of the 2022/23 Premier League, Man City unexpectedly lost 0-1 to Brentford. This result did not affect the rankings because coach Guardiola and his team had received the trophy last week.

Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Newcastle, Liverpool, Brighton and Aston Villa in European Cup
Man City finished the season with 89 points. Arsenal finished second with 84 points after a 5-0 win over Wolves. Newcastle drew 1-1 with Chelsea, finishing fourth with 71 points.
The top four teams, Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd and Newcastle, will participate in the Champions League next season.
The two Europa League spots were already decided before the final round, belonging to Liverpool and Brighton. Therefore, Liverpool's 4-4 draw with bottom team Southampton or Brighton's 1-2 defeat to Aston Villa did not affect the 5th and 6th positions of the two teams.
With a 2-1 win over Brighton, Aston Villa finished in 7th place and secured a ticket to the Europa Conference League next season.
Aston Villa's victory made Tottenham's efforts meaningless, the London team won 4-1 against Leeds but only finished 8th and will not play in European Cup next season.
Southampton, Leeds and Leicester relegated
Southampton were certain to be relegated a few rounds ago. Leeds and Leicester had a slim hope until the last round, the two teams were racing Everton to choose a place to stay in the league. Before the last round, Everton had 33 points, Leicester and Leeds both had 31 points.
Leeds soon "surrendered" when they continuously conceded goals against Tottenham. Leicester had a moment to rise to safety when they took the lead against West Ham.
Unfortunately, although Leicester won 2-1 against West Ham, Everton after a stalemate in the first half scored a goal in the second half and won 1-0 overall against Bournemouth.
Everton have 36 points, finishing 17th and successfully staying up. Leicester have 34 points, Leeds have 31 points and Southampton have 25 points, all of which will be relegated to the Championship next season.
