Currently, Lynk & Co only distributes in Vietnam the high-performance version 03+, with a selling price of 1.899 billion VND, a price that puts this Chinese car model in direct competition with Subaru WRX and approaching BMW 330i, Mercedes-Benz C 300. However, the standard Lynk & Co 03 version that will be on sale soon will be positioned in the popular C-class sedan group, competing with familiar names such as Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Kia K3 or Mazda3.
Compared to the 03+ version, the Lynk & Co 03 usually no longer has aerodynamic details such as the wind diffuser, rear spoiler, or dual sport exhaust pipes. The wheel set is also reduced in size, but the sporty design language typical of Lynk & Co is still retained. The full LED lighting system is expected to remain standard equipment. The interior of the standard version can remove the suede-covered sports seats, replacing them with more common materials. However, the car still retains the sports seats and many of the same equipment as the high-end version. Most likely, the car will be equipped with a larger central touch screen than the high-performance version, following the cabin technology trend of Chinese car models.
According to the sales consultant, Lynk & Co 03 in Vietnam will be equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged engine with a capacity of about 178 horsepower and 196 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Although this model has a hybrid version in the international market, the dealer said the hybrid version will not be distributed in Vietnam in the near future. In terms of safety equipment, the car will likely have an ADAS package with features such as blind spot warning, automatic brake assist, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, smart high beams...
It is expected that Lynk & Co 03 will be brought to Vietnam around September with 2 versions, with an estimated price of 700 - 800 million VND. However, this information has not been confirmed by Lynk & Co Vietnam. The appearance of the Lynk & Co 03 popular version in Vietnam promises to heat up the C-class sedan segment, which is currently bustling with many options from Japan, Korea and China. When sold in Vietnam, this model will compete with Honda Cvic in the C-class sedan segment.
