The Party Committee and Command of Brigade 414 thoroughly grasped and implemented the orders from above, mobilizing hundreds of cadres and soldiers along with many specialized vehicles and equipment to key areas to carry out the mission. The three directions of work that the Brigade focused on were: Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (90 comrades), Military Region 4 Command Headquarters (60 comrades) and Nam Dan Martyrs Cemetery (Van An Commune, Nghe An Province) (50 comrades).

In each area, officers and soldiers of the Brigade urgently sawed, cut, and cleared hundreds of fallen trees; used cranes and excavators to move large trees; replanted trees, reinforced roofs; cleaned up the environment, cleared mobile roads, and returned a green, clean, and beautiful landscape to agencies, units, and cultural and spiritual works.

In particular, at the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, which preserves and commemorates the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh , the consequences of storm No. 5 were very severe. Many areas and memorial houses had their roofs blown off or collapsed; the main temple area was crushed by large fallen trees; most of the trees, including many decades-old trees, were knocked down, causing serious damage to the landscape of the relic site.

Faced with that situation, officers and soldiers of the 414th Engineer Brigade urgently coordinated with functional forces and local people to cut down fallen trees, reinforce structures, replant trees, restore the landscape, and gradually restore the solemn and green appearance of the relic site.

Although soaked with sweat, each officer and soldier’s face showed pride in contributing to overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. These efforts, regardless of hardship, further illustrated the noble qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, who were always ready to be present in the most difficult and arduous places.

The urgent and drastic work of the 414th Engineer Brigade to overcome the consequences of storm No. 5 not only contributed to stabilizing the situation, ensuring a green, clean and beautiful environment and landscape in the area, but also created trust, peace of mind and admiration in the hearts of local authorities and people.
