Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Nguyen Thanh Thanh emphasized: "Family is the cell of society, the place to nurture, form and develop human personality. After 2 years of implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence (amended), with the strong direction of leaders at all levels, the synchronous participation of sectors, organizations and the consensus of the people, the work of preventing and controlling violence has achieved initial positive results.
People's awareness of preventing and combating domestic violence has been increasingly raised, many intervention models and support for victims of violence have been effectively implemented, and communication, consultation, reconciliation and handling of violations have been focused on.

After 2 years of implementation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has done a good job of advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue complete documents on preventing and combating domestic violence, considering standards for recognizing cultural families, etc.; at the same time, synchronously implementing many solutions, first of all information and communication work.
To promote the good traditional values of the family and move towards the four family values of “Safety – Responsibility – Prosperity and Equality”, the Association at all levels has organized more than 3,900 propaganda sessions on family lifeeducation for more than 100,000 participants; equipped knowledge on gender equality for 30,300 women.
Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union - Nguyen Thuy Tham presented a paper on Solutions to prevent and combat domestic violence by the Women's Union at all levels.
Conducting propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence on the Provincial Legal Education and Dissemination Information Website; Zalo group, combining MP3 files, infographics on Youtube, Facebook with 12,046 news articles and images; Department of Justice Information Website..., through the loudspeaker system at the grassroots level, more than 1,300 news articles and images with content related to prevention and control of domestic violence and other suitable forms.
Organize competitions, festivals, seminars, etc. on the occasion of International Day of Happiness March 20, Vietnamese Family Day June 28 and National Action Month on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence: Organize Vietnamese Family Day (June 28) in 2023 and 2024 with the theme " Happy Family - Prosperous Nation ".
100% of districts, towns and cities organize propaganda through local radio stations; create short plays; mobile information; cultural and artistic competitions and performances; propagate on electronic bulletin boards, LED screens, make propaganda billboards and banners on main roads, on the loudspeaker system from districts, towns and cities to wards, communes and towns, on social networks Facebook and Zalo to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda; guide and support groups to prevent and combat domestic violence; trusted addresses in the community.
5 collectives were commended for their achievements in implementing the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control for the 2022-2024 period.
During the 2 years of implementing the Law, the Provincial Police received and handled 5 cases related to domestic violence, of which 4 cases were criminally prosecuted and 1 case was administratively prosecuted. Mediation teams received 1,974 cases requesting mediation, of which 1,903 cases were successfully mediated (96.4%).
Maintain, promote the effectiveness of operations and replicate the model, establish 617 hotlines and 901 trusted addresses in the community. Continue to promote the effectiveness of operations of 790 sustainable family development clubs, 852 groups for preventing and combating domestic violence, etc., contributing to limiting domestic violence, enhancing the role of women, and gradually implementing effective gender equality. The effective operation of the models has enhanced the role, position, and responsibility of families and communities in preventing acts of domestic violence.

At the conference, delegates presented many papers focusing on the content of inter-sectoral coordination in preventing and combating domestic violence, emphasizing the need for cooperation between agencies such as the police, health, education and women's unions in detecting, intervening and supporting victims of domestic violence in a timely and effective manner.
In addition, delegates also proposed promoting the role of cultural families - active members in the community in raising awareness, spreading humanistic values and building a safe and healthy living environment, contributing to preventing and reducing domestic violence.
On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 20 individuals who have been outstanding in implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence in the 2022-2024 period; at the same time, honored 45 outstanding cultural families of Long An province in 2025./.
