Lao Cai maintains universaleducation standards, eliminates illiteracy and completes the pilot universal preschool education for 4-year-old children in 2023.
Accordingly, the Decision clearly recognizes districts, towns, cities, and Lao Cai province for maintaining the standards of universal education, eliminating illiteracy, and completing the pilot universalization of preschool education for 4-year-old children in 2023, specifically: Maintaining the standards of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children for 9/9 districts, towns, and cities; maintaining the standards of universal primary education level 3 for 9/9 districts, towns, and cities; maintaining the standards of universal lower secondary education level 2 for 9/9 districts, towns, and cities; maintaining the standards of eliminating illiteracy level 2 for 9/9 districts, towns, and cities. At the same time, recognizing the completion of the pilot universal preschool education for 4-year-old children for Lao Cai city, Sa Pa town, and the districts of Bao Yen and Bac Ha.
The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities; the Steering Committees for Education and Training of districts, towns and cities to be responsible for directing, inspecting and urging regularly, ensuring the maintenance and improvement of the quality of universal education, illiteracy eradication and the results of the pilot universalization of preschool education for 4-year-old children in the locality.
Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee; Provincial Steering Committee for Education and Training; Director of the Department of Education and Training; Chairmen of People's Committees of districts, towns and cities; Heads of Steering Committees for Education and Training of districts, towns and cities and related units shall base on this Decision to implement.
This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation, March 29, 2024.
