Provincial People's Committee leaders surveyed and inspected Vinh Hy Bay area.

On September 19, comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, conducted a survey and inspection of the areas around Vinh Hy Bay, Vinh Hai Commune (Ninh Hai). Accompanying him were comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.

Inspection in Vinh Hy Bay area, there is no more illegal aquaculture in cages, the water surface is clear, managed and used by Nui Chua National Park Management Board according to regulations. Regarding business activities, tourism services, in Vinh Hy Bay there are currently 24 glass-bottom boats and 14 canoes qualified to operate; 5 floating restaurants made of composite are operating and 5 floating restaurants made of wooden rafts for aquaculture are converted, docked at floating composite restaurants to serve tourists in violation of regulations. Ninh Hai District People's Committee has issued a decision to handle administrative violations, however, up to now, the raft owners have not yet complied with the penalty decision.

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, discussed with households running floating restaurants made of composite in Vinh Hy Bay, Vinh Hai Commune (Ninh Hai).

In the Bai Kinh area (10 km from Vinh Hy Bay), there are currently 18 floating restaurants, 63 inland waterway vehicles, and 1,093 seafood cages owned by Khanh Hoa residents, serving tourists visiting Binh Hung Island (in Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa); the situation of competing for customers, causing disorder and insecurity in this area, continues.

Speaking at the inspection, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the state management of tourism service business activities in Vinh Hy Bay still has many limitations; departments, branches and localities have not coordinated closely, synchronously and resolutely. He requested the Ninh Hai District People's Committee to coordinate with Vinh Hai Border Guard Station and relevant agencies and units to urgently inspect and closely review inland waterway vehicles and floating restaurants operating in the area; strictly handle vehicles that do not meet operating conditions and pose a potential risk of traffic accidents; strengthen propaganda to remind and request businesses and business households that have not registered their canoes and jet skis with the authorities to promptly register. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to clearly define the location of the water surface for sports and tourism activities without affecting inland waterway activities, ensuring that inland waterway activities in the area are orderly, safe, and clear... At the same time, propose fundamental solutions to effectively exploit the tourism potential and advantages of Vinh Hy Bay resources sustainably and in accordance with legal regulations, and report to the Provincial People's Committee before September 30, 2023.
