Ninh Thuan is one of the 28 coastal provinces and cities of the country, with a coastline of more than 105km and a territorial sea of ​​over 18,000km, one of the country's key fishing grounds, with many beautiful bays and beaches, and a unique climate with warm sunshine all year round. In particular, in recent years, the infrastructure of the sea and coastal areas has basically met the development requirements; a number of large-scale, dynamic projects and works have been promoted for investment and implementation, contributing to the effective exploitation of the potential and advantages of the sea, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the locality. The survey team started from Ca Na Border Control Station (Thuan Nam) to Binh Tien sea area, Cong Hai commune (Thuan Bac), with a length of about 100km, passing through the following points: Hon Do, Hon Chong, Kinh beach, Hom beach, Ninh Chu beach, Da Vach cape, Binh Hung lighthouse...

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: Since the inauguration of the coastal road (April 2015), this is the first time the province has organized a working group with full participation to survey the entire coastal road and coastal space of the province. This survey is of great significance, aiming to review and comprehensively evaluate the potential and advantages for development on the coastal and offshore areas.

These are open spaces with great potential for marine economic development in the coming years. Through the survey, the province has more clearly identified the potential for developing coastal industrial zones, deep-water ports, seaports, renewable energy, offshore and coastal wind power as well as forming high-quality tourism projects, resort urban areas, tourist urban areas, etc.
