Lai Thai was radiant on stage when his name was announced as one of the top 5 most outstanding contestants and received the Majestic Ambassador Award 2025. On his personal Facebook, he posted a video of him holding the trophy high with an inspirational message: "I did it, you can do it too. Always believe in yourself and believe in the power of effort."

This achievement is especially meaningful for Lai Thai after a challenging journey. In March, when he entered the top 10, he received mixed opinions about his appearance on social media. Many people thought that both his face and body did not match the beauty pageant's standards.
Faced with negative reactions, Lai Thai frankly admitted that he used to be self-conscious about his appearance but was determined to participate to overcome himself. "I came to the contest to prove my ability and affirm that I am not afraid of anything. People often think that beauty contests only select people with good looks. But I came here to represent everyone," he shared.
In April, Lai Thai decided to come to Vietnam to have cosmetic surgery in Ho Chi Minh City to correct his nose, fill out his face and fix his squint. After the surgery, he received many compliments for his more harmonious face.
