High School Graduation Exam 2025: Candidates begin taking Literature exam

At exactly 7:30 a.m. this morning (June 26), more than 22,600 candidates across the province entered the 2025 High School Graduation Exam (referred to as the Exam).

At 33 examination sites across the province, security forces were present early to ensure security and order at the examination sites; participating in traffic coordination so that parents and candidates could safely access the examination sites. Youth volunteers provided drinking water, pens and encouraged candidates before the examination.

The invigilators arrived early to organize the exam at the exam site seriously and in accordance with regulations. Some candidates who had not completed the exam procedures on the afternoon of June 25 arrived at the exam site before the Literature test time to complete the procedures according to regulations.

The 2025 High School Graduation Exam is the first exam organized under the 2018 GeneralEducation Program with a new structure and format in the spirit of innovation in education and training. The exam also ensures levels (recognition, application) to differentiate candidates' scores as a basis for admission to secondary schools, universities, colleges, etc.

Literature is the only essay subject of the exam with a test time of 120 minutes, starting at 7:30 a.m. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , the language materials in the Literature exam according to the 2018 General Education Program will be outside the current textbooks to ensure fairness for all candidates.

This year's exam has 22,612 candidates registered in the province, including 22,083 candidates taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program at 32 exam locations in 15 districts, towns and cities; 529 candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program at the Provincial Continuing Education Center Exam Location (address No. 1, Le Hong Phong Street, Tan Tien Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City).

At exactly 2:30 p.m. this afternoon (June 26), candidates will take the Math test in the form of multiple choice questions with a duration of 90 minutes. On the morning of June 27, candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program will take the final exam - an optional exam. Candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program will take the Natural Science or Social Science combination exam on the morning of June 27, and the Foreign Language exam in the afternoon of the same day. June 28 is the backup exam day.

According to the Department of Education and Training, the organization of the exam has started smoothly. The education sector continues to coordinate with relevant levels, sectors, units and localities to organize the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in the province safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations.
