According to the Daily Mail on July 10, the Greek-operated cargo ship Magic Seas was attacked by Houthi forces on July 6.
Video posted by Houthi shows gunmen from the group attacking the nearly 200-meter-long Magic Seas ship, causing a series of explosions that caused the ship to sink into the Red Sea.
All 22 crew members on the giant ship were rescued by a passing merchant ship before it sank.

Earlier on July 4, the Eternity C cargo ship, also operated by Greece, was attacked and sank in the Red Sea. Rescuers rescued six crew members after more than 24 hours in the water, while the fate of 15 others remains unknown.
Houthi forces claim to have attacked the Eternity C because it was en route to Israel. They are accused of kidnapping several crew members and holding them hostage.

The Red Sea is a vital waterway for oil and cargo, accounting for about 10% of the seaborne oil trade, but traffic has dropped sharply since Houthi forces began launching attacks off the coast of Yemen in November 2023.
