OCOP subjects in a livestream of sales teammates on a digital platform.
Participating in the OCOP Program since 2020, Hai Binh Seafood Processing Cooperative, Hai Binh Ward has 3 3-star OCOP products: Vi Thanh anchovy fish sauce, Vi Thanh shrimp paste, and Vi Thanh shrimp paste. With dynamism, OCOP products of Hai Binh Seafood Processing Cooperative have developed significantly. From traditional, small-scale production methods, selling "raw" in cans and bottles, up to now, this facility has applied modern production technology, beautiful packaging and labels, highly appreciated by the market and consumers. To boost product consumption, the Cooperative has actively participated in trade promotion at fairs and exhibitions in and outside the province. Mr. Nguyen The Hoang, director of the cooperative, said: "Through participating in trade promotion, the cooperative has connected, linked and cooperated with many other units and entities producing OCOP products to build product consumption chains. Thanks to that, each year, members of the cooperative have brought to the market about 300 - 500 thousand liters of fish sauce essence and about 100 tons of shrimp paste, shrimp paste, and sour fish sauce of all kinds." It is known that the products of the cooperative always strictly ensure the production process, so the quality is guaranteed and trusted by customers. Currently, the cooperative is creating jobs for 10 workers, with an average income of 5 - 6 million VND/person/month.
After more than 2 years of development, OCOP products such as Thanh Phat Macadamia, Thu Ca tea of Thanh Phat Macadamia Cooperative, Thuong Ninh commune have been well received by consumers, with good consumption in the market. However, Ms. Pham Thi Thu - the producer is still not satisfied with that achievement. She is always struggling to find new consumption directions suitable for modern consumption trends. After many times participating in training courses on applying digital transformation to product consumption organized by provincial departments, branches and sectors, Ms. Thu has proactively learned and created to make product promotion videos , opened booths on digital platforms. In August 2025, she connected and linked with a number of OCOP product producers with similar products in culture and region to organize online livestream sales on the tiktok platform. With creative content and expression, the livestream sessions of the subjects attracted tens of thousands of views, the number of orders sold also exceeded the plan. Ms. Thu said: “Joining hands with other entities to promote product consumption on TikTok is not too strange in the market, but for the Thanh Hoa OCOP community, this is a new way of doing things. Through livestreaming “teammates”, we have the opportunity to reach a larger number of customers, without geographical limitations, so the number of products sold is also greater.”
In fact, many OCOP entities have taken advantage of the development of digital technology to promote and boost product consumption. Recognizing this issue, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has coordinated with departments, branches and localities to promote digital transformation to introduce, promote and consume OCOP products on cyberspace. In particular, the province supports entities to post information and origin of OCOP products on a number of websites such as:
ocoptinhthanhhoa.vn; nongsanantoanthanhhoa.vn and on social networking platforms facebook, zalo, tiktok. In addition, guide the subjects with OCOP products to create booths to sell products on e-commerce platforms such as postmart.vn, voso.vn, shopee, lazada, alibaba... At the same time, coordinate to organize the livestream session " Thanh Hoa OCOP Market" to introduce the province's specialty agricultural products. Using digital platforms does not only stop at promoting products, but also aims to improve the online sales capacity of OCOP subjects, helping them catch up with the e-commerce trend.
From being “hand-held and guided”, many OCOP entities have been flexible, dynamic and proactive in connecting with each other to promote product consumption. According to statistics, the whole province has more than 500 OCOP products posted and sold on e-commerce platforms and social networking platforms. The “hand-holding” of OCOP product consumption has clearly demonstrated the connection between tradition and modernity, between indigenous products and digital technology, opening up great opportunities for Thanh Hoa province’s specialties to reach out to domestic and foreign markets.
