Opening of VNPT's largest data center

Hanoi Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ) opened its 8th data center (IDC) on October 25, at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.

This is the largest IDC of VNPT, invested in modern technology, fully meeting international technical standards. VNPT IDC Hoa Lac will be a safe choice for data of international brands, large economic groups, organizations and businesses on the digital transformation journey.

VNPT IDC Hoa Lac is built on a separate land plot in the center of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park, with a total usable area of up to 23,000 m2 of floor space, with a scale of up to 2,000 rack cabinets. The center has achieved Uptime Tier III certification for design (TCDD), construction and installation (TCCF) and will soon be certified for operation (TCOS).

The equipment here is provided by famous brands from G7 countries such as: Cumin, Hitachi, Siemens... IDC has the ability to connect to super-fast networks, an average of 2 Gbps per rack for domestic connections and 0.5 Gbps per rack for international connections, thanks to the advantage of being one of the leading telecommunications networks in Vietnam of VNPT.

In addition, VNPT IDC Hoa Lac is also equipped with N+1 redundancy to ensure safe and continuous operation even when performing repairs and maintenance, helping customers' services to be continuous, stable and without any interruptions. The security monitoring system with 6 layers of security from the outside to the inside of the Data Hall of the data center meets international standards, ensuring the highest level of customer data security. The center is operated by a team of engineers and technology experts who are well-trained, experienced, and have specialized certificates in Data Center (such as CDFOM, CDRP, CDMS, CTDC, CCNA, CCNP).

Mr. Huynh Quang Liem - General Director of VNPT Group said that along with IDC Hoa Lac, VNPT owns 7 data centers present in major provinces and cities including: Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City. All of them fully meet strict domestic and international standards. Of which, IDC Hoa Lac is the largest and most modern of the group, capable of providing high-end data services, ready to meet the requirements of all domestic and international customer segments.

In the coming time, VNPT Group is expected to continue to seek cooperation opportunities with partners and investors to build new regional and world-class data centers, using green and sustainable technology. This affirms the group's role in accompanying the government and businesses in realizing the aspiration of national digital transformation, towards the goal of becoming a Digital Hub of the region.

VNPT not only owns modern telecommunications infrastructure but also provides the leading digital ecosystem in Vietnam. The opening of IDC Hoa Lac is a testament to the group's aspiration to accompany the construction of modern, internationally-standard digital infrastructure so that data can be stored and processed in Vietnam according to the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Information and Communications. That is the goal that by 2025, 100% of agencies and 70% of enterprises will use domestic cloud computing.
