BHG - In the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, the whole province had 10,105 candidates registered for the exam and 409 students registered for direct admission. On the afternoon of June 5, candidates across the province completed the first day of the exam, including 2 subjects: Literature and Math in essay format, with a test time of 120 minutes.

According to a quick report from the Steering Committee for the 2025-2026 school year high school entrance exam, the province has 432 exam rooms. In the morning of the Literature exam, 9,761 candidates took the exam, 1 candidate at Meo Vac Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School violated the exam regulations and was suspended. For the Math exam, the province had 9,754 candidates taking the exam, reaching a rate of 98.87%, 355 candidates were absent. On the first day of the exam, 2 candidates in Bac Me and Hoang Su Phi districts were arranged separate exam rooms due to accidents before the exam.

According to many candidates, the exam for the two subjects was not too difficult, closely following the program content and the sample exam structure issued by the Departmentof Education and Training. Candidate Lenh Duy Uy, who registered for the exam at the Specialized High School, shared: The Literature exam was relatively close to the structure and suitable for his ability, so he completed the test well. For the exam consisting of 2 writing questions and 5 reading comprehension questions, he really liked the content of the exam revolving around the topic of filial piety, repaying the kindness of parents. In addition, candidates were required to express their personal thoughts and opinions on issues in life, specifically whether parents' high expectations for their children would be a motivation or pressure.

The Math exam is assessed at all levels of knowledge, requiring high recognition, understanding, and application to classify candidates; of which, about 70% of the questions are at the recognition and understanding level. According to candidate Nguyen Truong Minh, taking the exam at Viet Vinh High School (Bac Quang), the Math exam is suitable for knowledge and has reasonable classification. He and his friends have been reviewed according to the structure of these types of questions and are completely within the knowledge learned. However, there are still difficult questions for students with good academic performance to get high scores.

According to the Steering Committee for the High School Entrance Exam, 39 Examination Councils organized the exam in a safe, serious, objective and correct manner; no officers, teachers or employees violated the exam regulations. Although in some localities in the morning it rained, affecting the movement of candidates, however, in the afternoon the weather in the whole province cleared up, the cool air also created favorable conditions for candidates to do well on the exam. At the exam sites, functional forces and youth volunteer teams were regularly on duty, coordinating to maintain security and safety for the exam. At the same time, traffic was regulated and many other practical activities were carried out to support candidates and their families during the exam.
