Bali Travel Guide - What You Need to Know to Avoid Deportation

If you are planning a trip to Bali this summer, you will definitely want to know about the new regulations to avoid unnecessary incidents. In this article, I will share with you some of my Bali travel experiences from my recent trip, from the new regulations in Bali to the outstanding destinations that you should not miss.

I. New Bali Regulations: Things to Keep in Mind to Avoid Trouble

Bali is becoming an increasingly popular international tourist destination, but the Balinese government has also introduced some stricter regulations to preserve its culture and ensure the safety of visitors. Here are some things to keep in mind:

1. Dress code when visiting temples in Bali

This is one of the important rules that you need to know when coming to Bali . Especially when visiting temples or sacred areas, you need to dress modestly and respect the local culture. This rule is very important because Bali is home to many temples, and these places require visitors to wear appropriate clothing, especially traditional Balinese clothing.

2. No swearing and rude behavior

Bali is a place that values respect and peace . Therefore, swearing, causing trouble or behaving rudely in public places is unacceptable. In particular, you should avoid saying bad words in sacred areas.

3. Regulations on posting information on social networks

I know that many travelers love to share their amazing moments from their trips on social media. However, the new Bali regulations require you to not post false or sensitive information that could affect the image of the island. If you share about Bali, please make sure that the information you provide is accurate and respectful of the culture.

4. Bali tourist fees and other regulations

Since February, Bali has also started charging a tourist fee of 150,000 rupiah (about $10) for international visitors. If you do not pay the fee, you will not be allowed to visit famous tourist attractions. At the same time, Bali has also banned the use of disposable plastics, in order to protect the environment and preserve the natural landscape.

(*) Please retain your receipt for confirmation of entry. In addition, immigration authorities may request proof of stay and a return or onward ticket (stating the date of departure from Indonesia ).

5. Visa requirements

• Citizens of certain countries can enter Bali visa-free for short-term stays of up to 30 days. (For details, check the official website of the Indonesian Immigration Agency for the latest list of eligible countries).
• Visitors from over 60 eligible countries can apply for an on-arrival visa at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. The visa allows a stay of 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days.
• Eligible travelers can apply for an e-visa (B211A) online prior to travel for a smooth experience.

II. Outstanding destinations in Bali – Travel experiences for beginners

Bali is not only attracting attention because of the new regulations but is also famous and considered a "tourist paradise" with countless attractive destinations. I want to share with you some of the outstanding places in Bali that I have experienced and I am sure you will like.

1. Sacred temples in Bali

The first thing I want to mention is the temples in Bali – an important part of the culture and religion here. One of the highlights is Tanah Lot Temple, which has a beautiful landscape with cool blue sea. In particular, Uluwatu Temple is also an ideal place to admire traditional dances and watch the sunset.

However, when visiting Balinese temples, remember to follow the dress code. Don't forget to wear sleeved shirts and long pants when visiting sacred areas.

2. Beautiful beaches in Bali

One of the reasons why Bali attracts international tourists is its beautiful beaches. I visited Kuta beach, which is truly an ideal place for those who love surfing. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing space, Jimbaran beach or Nusa Dua beach are great choices.

3. Ecotourism in Bali

4. Balinese culture and history

Bali is not only a place of beautiful scenery but also a place rich in cultural identity. Celuk Village is famous for its traditional goldsmithing, while Batubulan Village will bring you the experience of Barong dance - the legendary dance of the Balinese.

My trip to Bali last March was truly a memorable experience. Bali is not only a place for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery but also an opportunity to explore profound cultural values.
