The launching ceremony was attended by Party Central Committee member, Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Nghia; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Council Tran Quoc Toan; and more than 550 delegates representing officers and soldiers of the armed forces, officers, party members, union members, association members and people from all walks of life.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Bat Khanh, Provincial Party Committee member, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province emphasized: When storm No. 3 passed, the water level in rivers, streams, canals and ditches had receded, which was also the time when people in the province, especially in low-lying areas, had to face environmental pollution due to remaining waste, posing a potential risk of disease outbreaks.
The campaign aims to call on agencies, units, armed forces, member organizations, religions, households, and people to join in cleaning up and removing broken and fallen trees; clearing sewers, ditches, and canals; collecting waste, and spraying disinfectants to prevent and control epidemics.
Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province Nguyen Bat Khanh requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to coordinate with the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee at the same level to develop and implement a plan to mobilize the entire population to participate in general environmental sanitation and overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 to ensure practicality and effectiveness.
At the same time, it is recommended that the armed forces and member organizations of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee mobilize cadres, soldiers, union members and association members to participate in general environmental sanitation at agencies and units; mobilize forces to support districts, towns and cities; and actively propagate and mobilize cadres, union members and people to participate in general environmental sanitation in the area according to the local plan.
The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of districts, towns and cities reports to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, coordinates with the People's Committee of the same level, develops a plan, and deploys it to 100% of agencies, units, schools and public places in the area, ensuring that the organization of general environmental sanitation is on schedule, practical and effective.
At the same time, instruct the Commune-level Fatherland Front Committee to mobilize member organizations and people of all walks of life to simultaneously launch a general environmental sanitation campaign at all agencies, units, schools, public places, village roads, alleys, and residential areas on September 15.
At the launching ceremony, on behalf of the cadres and youth union members of Hung Yen City, Mr. Nguyen Duy Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Hung Yen City Youth Union, spoke in response to the participation, affirming that the young generation of Hung Yen City will take the lead in the general environmental sanitation work, overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3.
After the launch, the delegates actively responded and participated in the general environmental cleaning on the streets of Hung Yen City.
