Hung Yen completed construction and repair of 99% of houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

To implement the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the province has established a Provincial Steering Committee, 100% of districts and communes have established Steering Committees; the work of direction, operation, information, communication and mobilization has been carried out resolutely, synchronously and effectively.

On the morning of June 20, at the Provincial Party Committee headquarters, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Hung Yen province (Provincial Steering Committee) held a conference to summarize the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province in 2025. Comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee chaired the conference.

Provincewide   There are 1,367 households in need of support for new construction and repair in 2025; up to now   1,367/1,367 houses have started construction, reaching 100% (634 new houses, 733 houses repaired); 1,356/1,367 houses have been completed, reaching 99% (623 new houses, 733 houses repaired), and 11 new houses are expected to be completed in June .   The Provincial People's Committee has allocated more than 107.2 billion VND in support to districts, towns and cities; districts, towns and cities are implementing the allocation of funds to communes and households according to regulations.

To date, districts, towns and cities have deployed support from the provincial budget of over VND89 billion; district-level funding of VND15.7 billion; and commune-level funding of VND2.7 billion.

In addition, districts, towns and cities mobilized over 40 billion VND from socialized sources to support households in building new houses and repairing temporary and dilapidated houses; over 10,000 working days of support from socio-political organizations, households in villages and hamlets, and many artifacts donated by collectives and individuals.   The supported households have mobilized about 300 billion VND from their families and relatives to build new and repair houses.

At the conference, delegates shared experiences and results of implementing the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia emphasized:   The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a deeply humane program, jointly implemented by the Party Committee, the government, economic organizations, and the people; has a strong influence in society, is interested in, actively supported by all classes of people, and has strong and decisive participation. The program has made an important contribution to improving living conditions and quality of life for people; helping to stabilize social security, creating consensus and trust among the people in the leadership of the Party and the State; promoting the spirit of solidarity and mutual love in the community. However, the implementation still has some limitations such as: Fast implementation time, early completion progress; the origin of residential land of some households is unclear, leading to difficulties in supporting housing construction for households.

The Provincial Party Secretary suggested: The task of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has no end point, it is a regular task, so that Hung Yen land will no longer have households living in degraded and dilapidated houses. Therefore, in the coming time, all levels, sectors and localities will continue to direct and implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a wider target group, so that more disadvantaged and disadvantaged people can participate; focus on mobilizing resources for implementation, combining the State and the People to work together; increase housing support for poor households, near-poor households, households with meritorious services to the revolution, and relatives of martyrs with socialized capital mobilized from individuals, organizations and communities; continue to promote propaganda to organizations, individuals, philanthropists and all classes of people about the content, purpose, meaning and humanity of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, creating a widespread influence; regularly review and evaluate the current housing situation in the area; Party committees and organizations shall promote their roles in leading and directing implementation, promptly handling difficulties and problems; local steering committees shall complete the remaining 11 houses before June 30; and complete settlement documents according to regulations.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

At the conference, 3 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
