Many press works discover, encourage, and contribute to the replication of new factors, advanced models, good people and good deeds; analyze and criticize society, contributing to the construction, supplementation, and perfection of mechanisms, policies, and laws.

Journalistic works also persistently and courageously fight against corruption, waste, and negativity; participate in building a clean and strong Party and political system; actively and proactively protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against and refute false and hostile information and arguments; attach importance to foreign information, and protect the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's borders and islands.

"Reaching the threshold of 100 years, it is not only about glorious traditions, revolutionary marks, proud stories of the past, but also about the position and appearance of a press.

With nearly 800 press agencies and a team of 41,000 journalists who are proficient in their profession, have a strong will, and master modern press technology, they are the country's key press agencies, the press agencies are trusted by the public and have reached regional and world levels," the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission stated.

The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission expressed, "It is necessary to change the old mindset for the long-standing press agency to create new development momentum."

The press is constantly innovating to develop in line with the times.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam reviewed the history of the period when Uncle Ho sought a way to save the country, and soon recognized the important role of the press in the cause of national liberation.

On June 21, 1925, Thanh Nien Newspaper published its first issue, marking the birth of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, "sowing red seeds in a revolutionary journalism line, with the mission of liberating the nation, awakening revolutionary will and spreading the light of Marxism-Leninism to the patriotic movement".

The General Secretary stated that this was not only the opening event for a new press but also a historic turning point for the Vietnamese revolution, one of the important preparatory steps for the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam (in 1930).

General Secretary To Lam: Vietnamese revolutionary press - a century of accompanying the nation, a glorious journey, written with the nation's intelligence, soul, revolutionary offensive spirit, noble sacrifice and tireless efforts

"From hand-printed newspapers in the middle of the war zone to today's multimedia press agencies, from handwritten articles under bombs and bullets to modern means, applying information technology and artificial intelligence, Vietnamese revolutionary journalists have affirmed their mettle, intelligence, dedication, creativity, and steadfastness to their ideals, always sticking close to real life, blending in with the breath and rhythm of life of the people," the General Secretary acknowledged.

With nearly 800 press agencies, tens of thousands of journalists, reporters, and editors, the Vietnamese press team is constantly innovating and strongly applying digital technology, artificial intelligence, and advanced scientific and technological achievements to create a new, modern, humane, and popular appearance and content of journalism.

According to the General Secretary, the press is also the main force in promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world, demonstrating Vietnam's solidarity and responsibility towards friends, progressive forces and the development of the world. The press is a means to spread national cultural values, arouse patriotism, aspirations for development and affirm Vietnamese cultural identity in the era of integration...

On behalf of the Party and State, General Secretary To Lam presented the Ho Chi Minh Medal to the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.

In particular, on the front of fighting corruption, waste and negativity, the press has made outstanding contributions. Many investigative reports and analytical articles have clarified the truth, contributed to supporting authorities in handling violations, and strengthened people's trust.

"The press has become one of the sharp spearheads, courageously bringing the truth to light, protecting the right, preserving the good; and uncompromisingly fighting against the wrong, the bad, and the evil," the General Secretary shared.

The press has fulfilled its noble mission of creating trust, building consensus, spreading the desire for development, and contributing to realizing the goal of building a strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam in the new era.

The General Secretary said that the press must further affirm its revolutionary spirit and pioneering role on the ideological and cultural front. The press must constantly innovate itself to match the stature of the times and the development of the country, truly becoming a modern, professional, humane press.

"In the new era of the Vietnamese nation, press agencies and journalists need to be deeply aware of their particularly noble political and social responsibilities to the Party, State and people," the General Secretary noted.

Journalists must be exemplary in professional ethics, steadfast in ideology, stance, political courage, loyal to revolutionary ideals, truly professional, good at professional expertise, courageously fight against negative manifestations, and have enough resistance to temptations.

Journalists must be reputable social activists, people who do propaganda and mass mobilization work, and actively participate in people's foreign affairs activities. In all circumstances, political responsibility, social responsibility and professional ethics must be placed above all else.

Former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh and General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense visited the exhibition booth of VietNamNet Newspaper.

Every journalist and every press agency must be a symbol of behavioral culture, ethical standards and spirit of serving society; contributing to preserving and promoting traditional humanistic values, spreading goodness and beauty.

The General Secretary said that, in the face of the wave of digital transformation and fierce competition in the global media space, the press must quickly adapt, pioneer in strongly innovating thinking, mastering technology, and making breakthroughs in reporting methods and information transmission.

Strengthen the presence of revolutionary journalism on social media platforms, maintain the information and propaganda front against the development of cross-border platforms.

Through the statements of representatives of some journalists, the General Secretary shared: "We affirm to the Vietnamese press that the Party will never give up its combat weapons, which are journalism, propaganda, and orientation. We must definitely take care of... The sharing and expectations of comrades are completely reasonable and correct."

In addition, it is necessary to resolutely remove from the press team journalists who have lost their fighting spirit, lost their revolutionary ideals, violated professional ethics, or violated regulations of agencies and organizations...
