Athletes will compete in 3 categories corresponding to 3 age groups: U15, U18 and U23. The tournament applies the current 5x5 basketball rules set by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and has 2 main rounds: group stage and playoff round - knockout.
The special feature of this tournament is the pioneering application of professional and systematic health care and support policies for athletes. In each match, there is always a medical and security team on duty to ensure safety and promptly handle any arising situations.
Immediately following the opening ceremony were two promising opening matches in the men's U18 age group - the first matches of the tournament's journey.
The first match was a confrontation between the Yen Hoa High School team and the Kim Lien High School team - two names that have affirmed their professional and dedicated playing style.
The second match was an equally exciting competition between the Chu Van An High School for the Gifted and Vinschool The Harmony, one of the schools with a strong tradition in school sports.
