More than 50 artists from Ho Chi Minh City will install solar lights in Ca Mau

2025 is the fourth year that the Ho Chi Minh City artist volunteer team has organized the program For Children's Smiles, bringing smiles to children and people in difficult circumstances in remote areas.

MC Quynh Hoa - Deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House, leader of the Ho Chi Minh City artist volunteer team - told Tuoi Tre Online that the team had just surveyed locations for the program For Children's Smiles 2025 in Ca Mau.

Up to now, the program For Children's Smiles has been organized by the Ho Chi Minh City artist volunteer team for the 4th time, and is also one of the Green Summer activities jointly implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Ca Mau Provincial Youth Union.

After the survey, the team decided to install 60 500W solar lights on a 3km long road in Dat Mui commune (Ca Mau), to serve more than 1,500 people who live by fishing, bottom fishing and working for hire. This is a remote communication, still facing many difficulties in Ca Mau.

Support the repair of a dilapidated toilet at Dat Mui Primary School 1, where nearly 800 students will study in the 2025-2026 school year; give 500 gifts to disadvantaged students and children of ethnic areas in Ca Mau province; give 50 sets of Ao Dai fabric to teachers in difficult circumstances...

In particular, the HCM City volunteer artist team will organize a free art program to serve the people of Ca Mau province. MC Quynh Hoa said that the program is carefully invested. The sound and lighting systems are transported from HCM City to ensure quality and serve the people.

Miss Ly Kim Thao - Bac Lieu tourism image ambassador (former), member of the Ho Chi Minh City artist volunteer team - will connect to carry out activities in Bac Lieu.

The leader of the HCM City artist volunteer team said that installing solar lights and repairing and building new toilets in schools is an annual activity, carried out in one province each year.

Regarding funding, in addition to the team's fund, the artists called on relatives and friends to contribute and the artists contributed more from their own pocket.

Previously, For Children's Smiles has been to Dak Nong , Ninh Thuan, Lam Dong.

“In addition to the programs For Children's Smiles and Connecting Love , the team will have a new activity this year, which is the program For the Homeland's Sea and Islands . Each year, the team will go to an island area, helping young people love their homeland's sea and islands more.

In addition, this year the team plans to open training courses and provide skills support for orphans living in shelters and open houses on the threshold of adulthood" - MC Quynh Hoa emphasized.

The program For Children's Smiles 2025 is expected to take place on July 24 and 25.
