In set 1, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team created a tight game. A good start helped Thanh Thuy and Bich Tuyen score impressive points.

But as the game progressed, Korabelka showed her class. Striker Elizaveta Nesterova, only 19 years old, showed her all-round skills. Whenever the ball fell to her position, the Russian team almost got a point.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team started making many mistakes in the first step. Even a top player like Thanh Thuy failed to handle the ball, and libero Khanh Dang also failed to handle the opponent's difficult serves. Korabelka won the first set 25-19.

The second set was a much more difficult scenario for the home team. The previous problems were still not overcome by the Vietnamese girls.

Lam Oanh's setter position also had problems as she was easily predictable. Korabelka won 25-14 in set 2.

It was not until the third set that the home team showed signs of improvement. They started strongly to lead 5-1, but let their opponents equalize to 5-5.

This made coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet visibly upset outside the field. After several meetings, he helped his players calm down and start to be more precise.

Korabelka was close to winning when leading 20-16, but the Vietnamese women's volleyball team successfully reversed the set, winning 25-23. In set 4, the physical problems of both teams gradually became apparent.

Korabelka could no longer maintain the necessary energy and alertness. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team played with determination and continued to win 25-21, successfully bringing the match into set 5.

Here, the home team had a big advantage when leading 11-8 but then let it go back to 12-12. The final stage of the match was not only a chase between the two teams, but also a private competition between Bich Tuyen and Nesterova.

When their physical strength was down, the powerful smashes of these two names continuously brought points. Unfortunately for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, in the final hour, Korabelka's blockers read the situation better to help them bring home a thrilling 20-18 victory, thereby winning the VTV Cup 2025 for the second consecutive year.

This is also the second consecutive year that the home team has lost to this opponent in the final. But last year, they lost 0-3, but this year they were able to take their opponent to the 5th set.

U21 Vietnam lost to U21 Thailand

Once again at this year's VTV Cup, the U21 Vietnam women's volleyball team lost to U21 Thailand 1-3 in the 5th place match. With this result, U21 Thailand won 5th place, while U21 Vietnam finished 6th overall.

Third and fourth place went to Chinese Taipei and the Philippines, respectively. Sichuan (China) ranked seventh, while the Australian women's team ranked eighth.
