On August 24, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Ninh Binh province coordinated with Bai Dinh Pagoda to organize the Vu Lan ceremony with the theme "Vu Lan gratitude - 80 years of independence".
Attending the Vu Lan ceremony were more than 5,000 Buddhists, people, students and tourists, praying to Buddha for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, peaceful borders, strong borders and good things.
This year's Vu Lan season takes place at a time when the whole country is joyfully looking forward to the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). This is an opportunity for every Vietnamese citizen to review the glorious historical milestones, deeply remember the contributions of generations of ancestors who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country, affirming the will for independence, freedom and the strength of national unity.
Vu Lan not only reminds us of the two words filial piety - gratitude towards parents, country, teachers and people but also arouses the spirit of patriotism, love for the people, always dedicating ourselves to the homeland, all for a Vietnam with rich people, strong country, fairness, democracy and civilization.
This is also an opportunity for us to turn to our roots, honor the grace of our parents, and also an opportunity for us to promote filial piety and remind each other of the word "gratitude".
At this year's Vu Lan ceremony, the organizers presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the area.
