Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 5, the working delegation of the Northern Power Corporation led by Mr. Vu Anh Phuong - Deputy General Director and specialized departments went directly to the scene in Nghe An to inspect and direct the preparation work to respond to storm No. 5 (Kajiki), in order to ensure the safety of the power grid and stable power supply in the whole province.
Mr. Vu Anh Phuong - Deputy General Director of EVNNPC highly appreciated the proactive spirit of Nghe An PC in implementing storm prevention and control measures, and emphasized: "We must not be subjective, we must closely monitor the storm's developments, closely coordinate with local authorities and related units to promptly handle arising situations, ensuring absolute safety for workers, equipment and the power grid system...".
Previously, the Company had issued a document instructing and urgently implementing plans to prevent and combat natural disasters, ensure safe operation of the power grid, and improve reliability. It requested its affiliated units to proactively monitor and grasp storm information on mass media. Organize on-duty and promptly handle situations, ensure power supply, ensure absolute safety for the workforce, power grid assets, works and electrical safety among the people.

Nghe An Power Company has established working groups led by the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Company's Trade Union to urgently go directly to the scene to inspect and urge the preparation of PCTT & TKCN, assigning specific tasks to departments to organize on-duty until the storm's circulation ends.
Assign the Regional Power Management Teams (RMBs) under the management of the High Voltage Grid to inspect and reinforce key locations at risk of landslides and incidents that cause unsafety in operation management; Organize inspections of vehicles, spare materials, communication equipment and human resources to respond to wind, rain, flash floods, flash floods, landslides that often occur in mountainous communes and flooded areas in coastal plain communes. Organize propaganda, warnings and recommendations to people on mass media about electrical safety during floods.

The subordinate power management teams review the entire power supply system for the drainage pumping stations, paying special attention to large capacity pumping stations with backup plans, prioritizing important local loads, and concentrating all resources to handle incidents as soon as possible. Pay special attention to electrical safety measures, and implement effective plans to ensure the safety of people, works and equipment.
Actively work with local authorities in the area, notify households using electricity to coordinate in cutting down trees and pruning branches to minimize damage to the power grid due to trees falling on power lines as well as the wires behind the customer's meter. Assign duty schedules to all staff, arrange spare materials, vehicles, medicine and food to respond promptly to incidents caused by storms. After the storm, before restoring power to flooded areas, it is necessary to check with the spirit of safety, restore power to that point.

Units follow the 4-on-the-spot motto: “On-site command; On-site forces; On-site supplies and means; On-site logistics”. Proactively tie down and secure houses, warehouses, doors, and windows of offices, cover working vehicles, office equipment, and other structures.
Understanding that storm No. 5 (Kajiki) could cause great damage to the power grid system in the whole province, the Board of Directors of Nghe An Electricity Company has given timely and serious instructions to respond to the storm situation. With the goal of operating the power grid safely and reliably, all officers and employees are determined to overcome all problems as quickly as possible, ensuring the safety of workers and minimizing damage to the power grid in the management area.
