Storm No. 5 made landfall in Ha Tinh , severely affecting the local power system. Many electric poles were knocked down and broken; medium-voltage and low-voltage power lines were broken, causing widespread power outages.
According to statistics from Ha Tinh Electricity Company (PC Ha Tinh), as of 5:30 p.m. on August 25, the whole province had 72 power lines and 2,619/4,110 transformer stations without power; 396,879/491,497 customers without power in 52/69 communes and wards.

Currently, the weather is still complicated, heavy rain, strong winds, troubleshooting is very difficult.
PC Ha Tinh has mobilized 100% of its forces to be on duty, closely following the storm developments, and at the same time checking and reviewing the extent of damage to the power grid throughout the area. Subordinate units have arranged personnel at key locations, ready to fix incidents under permitted conditions, prioritizing the fastest restoration of power to people, businesses, and essential production and service establishments.

Mr. Pham Viet Thang - Head of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue in Ha Tinh said: "We are closely following weather developments, preparing plans to handle and fix the problem as soon as possible with the spirit of checking the safety of the power grid, and promptly restoring power to serve the people."
PC Ha Tinh recommends that people need to continue to raise awareness about electrical safety. When flooded, they need to turn off the power in their homes and not touch electrical equipment with wet hands or bare feet on wet floors to ensure safety for people and property.
