At the conference, Mr. Phan Dinh Khiem - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union reported briefly on the development of collective economy and cooperatives in the first 6 months of the year. Accordingly, the development of collective economy and cooperatives in the province has gradually stabilized and has a more positive development trend. Many cooperatives have innovated in management and operation; redefined more suitable and dynamic production and business directions; the internal capacity of cooperatives has also gradually improved, creating jobs and income for members and workers.

To date, the province has 3,255 Cooperative Groups (CGs), an increase of 1.4% over the same period in 2023; 226 cooperatives, an increase of 4.6% over the same period in 2023. Of which, 195 cooperatives are operating, 31 cooperatives have stopped or temporarily stopped operating, with a total operating capital of more than 4,100 billion VND. Revenue in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at 145.2 billion VND; profit of 20.5 billion VND, an increase of 0.4% over the same period; total number of cooperative members is 50,535 members.

In general, the activities of cooperatives have contributed to the economy , gradually promoting the integration process and strengthening the linkage to create production, processing and consumption chains, contributing to increasing the value of local products. At the conference, delegates discussed and analyzed the results achieved, the limitations and proposed key tasks for the development of collective economy and cooperatives in the last 6 months of 2025. Accordingly, members of the Steering Committee need to continue to pay attention to promoting propaganda work on the position and role of collective economy and cooperatives in the economy, in order to raise awareness so that everyone understands the Law on Cooperatives, the nature of the new cooperative model; the benefits of participating in cooperatives in the development of agriculture , rural areas and farmers.

Specialized agencies need to strengthen training and human resource development in various forms for cooperatives. Continue to research and organize conferences and seminars on solutions to improve the efficiency of cooperatives in the province. Dissolve and convert cooperatives that exist in form, stop operating, or operate in a way that is not true to the nature of new-style cooperatives. At the same time, cooperatives must proactively improve operational efficiency, innovate management methods, and attract young staff to work. Proactively mobilize local resources to invest in production and business, gradually transform digitally in management and operation; proactively seek markets to solve product output, provide good services to members...

On this occasion, the Provincial Cooperative Union commended 45 collectives "Having made many contributions to the cause of building and developing the collective economy and cooperatives in the period of 2020 - 2025"; awarded commemorative medals to individuals "For the development of cooperatives" in 2024.
