On July 17, the Organizing Committee arranged a training ground for the U23 Vietnam players near the hotel so that the players could move more conveniently during training. However, the field conditions were limited and the grass surface was uneven.
The spirit of the U23 Vietnam players is very good, their physical strength is guaranteed and they are ready to enter the first match against the U23 Laos team. According to the request of the coaching staff, today's training session the players will focus on movement techniques, keeping distance between positions, the ability to coordinate in a small area and play pressing, ensuring flexibility and efficiency.
In addition to ensuring technical skills, the coaching staff recommends that young players limit unnecessary collisions and maintain physical strength to prepare for the upcoming opening match.
Previously, midfielder Thanh Nhan was injured during the training session on the evening of July 16 after an unbalanced landing and had to leave the session. In order to promptly supplement the team's strength, coach Kim Sang Sik decided to call back midfielder Le Van Thuan to replace Thanh Nhan.
Player Nguyen Phi Hoang said: "Each tournament has its own differences, the teams all try to change to develop more than before. In this tournament, I personally and the whole team always focus and compete with the highest spirit to achieve the best results."
