Recently, Hoang Dung officially announced that he will hold the concert "Xoài tròn" in Hanoi on August 2. Before the famous guest list including three artists Den, Vu., Nan was revealed, all seats of the concert "Xoài tròn" were sold out, proving the great support and expectation of the audience for the third concert in Hoang Dung's career.
Besides the concert, Hoang Dung will release his second studio album "Xoay tron" on July 9 with new compositions, marking a change in his musical journey after 10 years.
Hoang Dung shared: "The guest artists participating in the "Xoai tron" concert all have many similarities with me in music and are also colleagues I admire. "Indie Prince" Vu. is an artist who sings, composes and produces music like me. Anh "Den" is a predecessor that I admire a lot and his music has inspired me on this journey".
In preparation for the "Xoay tron" concert, Hoang Dung said: "In the concert, I prioritize the audience's experience and hope they have the most genuine and pure emotions with the music. I find the past time very precious when I can still be myself, do what I'm good at, but also learn new skills such as dancing, performing, playing musical instruments and collaborating with artists I've never worked with before."
Returning after more than 2 years from the Yen concert, Hoang Dung shared: "Every time I perform a concert, I want to show everyone the best of myself at that time. When I did the 25 or Yen concert, most of the songs had a gentle, emotional color, while the music in the album "Xoai tron" helped me show more of my performance skills on stage. I want the audience to come to the concert with the mindset that this is a music festival - where music is the center, there is no need to tell a story or have any hypothetical characters, but the music will speak for me in the closest way possible".
The album and concert "Xoài tròn" is also a project to mark 10 years of Hoang Dung's artistic career. "This is probably a good opportunity for me to look back and see what I have learned, how much I have grown and progressed, and how far I can go" - Dung said.
