According to Ha Long University, in recent years, the school's training program has always been designed based on the research of businesses' needs for students' skills and knowledge; adjusting the curriculum in the direction of creating conditions for students to have appropriate time to do internships and practice at businesses. In particular, the school regularly expands cooperative relations with businesses to sign cooperation agreements, with recruitment targets after graduation. In return, businesses also proactively coordinate in providing information on labor needs, salary and bonus regimes and other policies related to labor, so that schools can improve the effectiveness of enrollment and training... For example, in early August 2025, Ha Long University signed a cooperation agreement with Sun Group Northern Region, creating opportunities for students to participate in practical projects, study tours, training programs to supplement vocational skills, soft skills in the fields of services - tourism - entertainment. Bachelors will be accepted for paid internships immediately after graduation.
In recent times, vocational training institutions in the area have always focused on connecting with businesses to innovate right from the stages of enrollment, career orientation, training methods... From the direction of the province, coordination solutions between the "3 houses" (state - school - business) have been strengthened to promptly implement training solutions, improve the quality, scale, occupational structure, qualifications of the workforce, meet the needs of businesses, ensure the balance of supply and demand of the labor market. A typical form is to coordinate with businesses to provide short-term vocational training according to orders - a training form suitable for the recruitment needs of basic technical workers of local businesses. Labor training is focused on occupations with high recruitment needs such as mechanics, electronics, tourism, services, information technology, health care... designed into short-term courses, flexible time, easy to access for young workers.
Regarding employment, the province also focuses on directing relevant sectors and units to coordinate and implement synchronous solutions, from preferential loan support, career counseling, to connecting with recruitment businesses. The smooth coordination between local authorities, training institutions and businesses has opened up job opportunities for many local workers, including vulnerable groups, people with disabilities, rural workers... In the period of 2020-2024, Quang Ninh had 84,059 workers introduced to businesses, 48,174 workers trained at businesses, 581 teachers trained in skills, 34,017 workers at businesses improved their skills...
Implementing Resolution 06-NQ/TU dated May 17, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on sustainable socio-economic development, ensuring solid national defense and security in communes, villages, and hamlets in ethnic minority, mountainous, border, and island areas for the period of 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, Quang Ninh province has identified vocational training for ethnic minority and rural workers in the direction of innovation, improving training quality, and creating jobs as a fundamental solution to create sustainable livelihoods for people. Some good and effective ways to create jobs for ethnic minorities include: Coordinating with educational and vocational training institutions to provide counseling and career guidance to enhance support services for finding and connecting jobs for young people; supporting capital, means of production, production techniques, etc.
Currently, Quang Ninh, together with the whole country, is actively and synchronously implementing solutions to support the private economic sector to develop strongly, becoming an important driving force of the economy. Continuing to improve vocational training and job creation will contribute positively to the completion of the province's socio-economic growth goals in the new period.
On August 29, the Department of Home Affairs worked with 5 communes of Ky Thuong, Vinh Thuc, Thong Nhat, Hai Son, and Luong Minh on signing labor contracts with new graduates of the Faculty of Pedagogy (Ha Long University) who volunteered to register to teach at educational institutions in the area. At the meeting, representatives of departments, localities, and graduates discussed a number of contents, such as: Policies to encourage teachers to teach in mountainous, border, and island areas; ensuring the number of teacher contracts for educational work; rotating cadres and teachers in areas in the province... Implementing the policies of the Central and the province, each teacher receives salary, allowances, and support with an average total income of 10 million VND/person/month, and at the same time, attention is paid to arranging food, accommodation, and living for teachers. |
