Understanding the compulsory social insurance policy for household businesses, Ms. Trang, in Cam Thanh ward, strongly agrees. In addition to allocating revolving capital to reserve goods, spending a certain amount to participate in monthly social insurance is also very reasonable.
With more than 30,000 business households and tens of millions of workers, Quang Ngai is experiencing a significant expansion of compulsory social insurance under the Social Insurance Law 2024. This new regulation does not only stop at workers and civil servants but also covers registered individual business owners, managers of enterprises and unpaid cooperatives. This helps to increase social security coverage, ensuring essential rights and protections for a large number of self-employed workers, who previously had little access to welfare regimes.
Ms. Nguyen Thi My Cuc, a business owner in Nghia Lo ward, Quang Ngai, said: Now that there is a mandatory regulation, I think it's okay. Having a social insurance book , I will still have a salary when I retire. If I don't have anything to rely on, I'm very worried.
Recently, the Social Insurance of Region XXI Quang Ngai has coordinated with the tax authority to make a list of business households that are operating and have tax declarations and payments in the area.
According to statistics, there are currently about 21,000 business households in Quang Ngai that are required to pay social insurance under new regulations.
To create the most favorable conditions, the Social Insurance of Region XXI is urgently completing detailed guidance documents on documents and procedures. The goal is to minimize administrative procedures, helping organizations and individuals easily register and participate in compulsory Social Insurance, thereby contributing to building a strong social security system.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Sang, Deputy Director of Social Insurance Region XXI, said: “ We organize and coordinate on-site guidance, making the procedures as simple and flexible as possible, so that people are not afraid or hesitant. Each locality will organize appropriate propaganda campaigns so that people understand, believe and follow the instructions.”
