After 10 days of training and playing 2 matches with U22 Taiwan (China) in Ba Ria Vung Tau, Coach Kim Sang Sik said goodbye to 8 players including: Nguyen Quang Vinh (SLNA), Nguyen Dang Duong (The Cong Viettel ), Le Dinh Long Vu (SLNA), Dinh Xuan Tien (SLNA), Nguyen Le Phat (PVF), Le Van Thuan (Thanh Hoa), Nguyen Bao Long (PVF), Dinh Quang Kiet (HAGL).
On the afternoon of July 6, the group of 8 players returned to their home clubs to prepare for the new season, while waiting for the opportunity to participate in the next training sessions, aiming for the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers as well as the 33rd SEA Games.
In the coming time, U23 Vietnam will continue to practice in Ba Ria Vung Tau until July 12. After that, the team will go to Indonesia on the morning of July 14, officially entering the journey to participate in the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship. Before leaving, coach Kim Sang Sik announced the official list of 23 players.
The 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship will take place from July 15 to 29 in Indonesia. In the group stage, U23 Vietnam will meet U23 Laos on July 19 and U23 Cambodia on July 22. After two consecutive championships in 2022 and 2023, U23 Vietnam is determined to win the regional football tournament for the third time.
