The emulation movements of "Excellent Enterprise" and "Outstanding Entrepreneur" have been enthusiastically responded to by trade unions at all levels and a large number of employees in Quang Ninh province with rich, practical, effective content and forms, with many innovations.
In August 2024, 8 units were honored to receive flags and certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee in the emulation movement "Excellent Enterprise". They are Quang Ninh Electricity Company (awarded flag); Quang Ninh Mining Chemical Industry Company, Region III Maritime Pilotage Company Limited, Cam Pha Mining Chemical Industry Company, Vinacomin Inspection Joint Stock Company, Viet Bac Mining Chemical Industry Company, Dong Duc Company Limited (Uong Bi City), Agribank Dong Quang Ninh Branch (awarded certificates of merit).
According to Mr. Vu Huu Chuong, Chairman of the Trade Union of Quang Ninh Power Company, in recent years, despite many difficulties, Quang Ninh Power Company has made efforts, been creative and flexible to carry out its tasks. The company has ensured electricity supply; successfully completed the production and business targets assigned by the Northern Power Corporation. With the spirit of enthusiastic work and continuous efforts of the staff, Quang Ninh Power Company has always met the requirements for electricity supply, ensuring electricity supply for the largest coal mining industrial center in the country, including more than 30 mines and hundreds of factories and enterprises serving the exploitation, processing and export of coal; the needs of the agricultural , tourism, service and seaport sectors.
Quang Ninh Electricity has strictly complied with tax laws, regulations on fees and charges, financial mechanisms and laws of the State; well implemented State benefits for enterprises and employees; paid higher State budget contributions in the following year than the previous year...
In particular, affirming itself as a good enterprise, Quang Ninh Electricity has successfully completed the task of restoring power after storm No. 3 and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee. Storm No. 3 caused 461,000 households to lose power, over 3,700 medium and low voltage power poles were broken, 54 medium and high voltage transformer stations were damaged, many 220kV and 110kV lines had to be taken out of operation... Therefore, Everywhere in the province, day or night, rain or shine, electricity workers worked hard to restore power. Each of their shifts started at 5am and lasted until late at night... Thanks to that, by September 20, the entire province had electricity restored.
As an enterprise that has just been awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Excellent Enterprise", Viet Bac Mining Chemical Industry Company - MICCO (Mining Chemical Industry Corporation - Vinacomin) has continuously exceeded its assigned business plan with a total explosive production output of 235,257 tons in the past 3 years, an increase of 11,541 tons compared to the previous 3 years (223,716 tons). Revenue for 3 years reached 1,717 billion VND, an increase of 7.5% in 3 years. Annual profit exceeded the profit target assigned by superiors by 8-17 billion VND; fully and promptly contributed to the State budget with an amount of 56.2 billion VND in 3 years. With a total of nearly 500 employees, the average income of employees in the company is 14.8 million VND.
According to Mr. Vu Ngoc Thinh, Chairman of the Trade Union of Viet Bac Mining Chemical Industry Company, the unit has synchronously deployed effective solutions in directing and operating production and business activities, such as: New investment towards sustainable development in explosives production; organizing and innovating management, direction, and production and business management solutions to improve productivity and quality; fostering and improving the professional qualifications of employees to fulfill assigned tasks; ensuring wages and implementing policies for employees; ensuring environmental work and safety in the production and business process. In addition, the Trade Union and the Board of Directors of the company have organized effective emulation movements; promoting scientific research, initiatives, solutions...
It can be seen that the emulation movement "Excellent Enterprise" implemented by the trade unions at all levels of Quang Ninh has attracted a large number of enterprises to participate with high efficiency. Thereby, creating an environment and motivation for enterprises to strive for comprehensive development, improve production and business efficiency, solve employment, income, policies for workers and develop the local economy.
