The celebration aims to affirm the position, great stature, and great historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam ; to deepen the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" and affirm the strength of the great national unity bloc and the spirit of international solidarity.
The Central Steering Committee for celebrating major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023-2025 directed Hanoi city to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security , Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies and units to implement.
To ensure the success of the program, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the City People's Committee, to direct the overall celebration activities and the Anniversary Ceremony, parade and march. Ms. Vu Thu Ha - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee directed the City's Departments, branches and sectors to coordinate with Central units to implement the City's tasks.
The Department of Culture and Sports synthesizes the results of the anniversary activities; directs the City's departments, branches and sectors to perform tasks according to their assigned fields to ensure the good implementation of the anniversary activities and the Anniversary Ceremony, parade and procession.
The celebration will be held from 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025 at Ba Dinh Square and some central streets of Hanoi.
The celebration, parade and march had a scale of about 30,000 delegates and people.

At the same time, direct the My Dinh National Sports Complex to coordinate with the Ministry of National Defense to arrange locations for ceremonial fireworks, ensuring absolute safety conditions for the celebration, parade, and people to directly watch according to the approved parade and march project.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinates the invitation of international delegates, interpretation and issuance of bilingual documents.
The Ministry of Health ensures preventive medicine, emergency care, and food safety during and after the festival. The Ministry of Construction supports transportation, organizes more flights, and ensures infrastructure safety.
The Ministry of Home Affairs and Finance advises, ensures funding, competes, and broadcasts television and press.
Provinces and centrally-run cities will broadcast live Vietnam Television coverage of the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and march.
The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Sports (standing agency) to take the lead in advising on the development of plans, establishing the Organizing Committee and Subcommittees; making a guest list, coordinating with units to seek Central opinions; designing seating charts, overall layouts of the stage, stands, LED screens, etc.
