HNX transactions in July broke out, foreign investors net bought more than 547 billion VND

(Chinhphu.vn) - In July 2025, the stock market listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) recorded a strong increase in both index and liquidity. Market capitalization increased by 12% compared to the previous month, with foreign investors and self-employed traders increasing their transactions.

In July 2025, the stock market listed on HNX traded actively with a clear upward trend. The HNX-Index (a measure of stock price fluctuations on HNX) opened at 228.45 points and closed at the end of the month at 266.34 points, up 16.19% compared to the previous month. This was also the highest level of the month.

Average monthly liquidity (volume and value of transactions) reached 150.4 million shares/session, up 60%, transaction value (GTGD - total value of buying and selling) increased 64.5% to VND2,772 billion/session. The session on July 31 recorded the highest level with 195.5 million shares, equivalent to VND4,100 billion.

Regarding price fluctuations, APS (Asia Pacific Securities Corporation) increased by 98.5% (VND 6,600/share) to VND 13,300/share. SHS (Saigon - Hanoi Securities Corporation) increased by 79.6% (VND 10,200/share) to VND 23,000/share. AME (Alphanam E&C Corporation) increased by 59.6% (VND 3,100/share) to VND 8,300/share. IPA (IPA Investment Group Corporation) increased by 58% (VND 7,900/share) to VND 21,500/share.

In terms of trading volume (KLGD - number of matched shares), SHS is leading with 956.1 million shares (26% of the market), followed by CEO (CEO Group Corporation) with 623.5 million shares (17%) and MBS (MB Securities Corporation) with 207.8 million shares (6%).

Foreign investors (individuals and foreign organizations participating in the market) increased their transactions by 61% compared to the previous month, buying more than VND 3,323 billion, selling more than VND 2,776 billion, net buying more than VND 547 billion. Proprietary trading activities (transactions conducted by securities companies with their own capital) reached more than VND 443.9 billion, up 7.1%, net buying more than VND 29 billion.

By the end of July 2025, HNX had 306 listed enterprises, with a total listing value of over VND 167.6 trillion. Market capitalization (total value of outstanding shares) reached over VND 398.7 trillion, up 12% compared to June 2025.
