Finding outstanding blockchain talent, affirming technological prowess

(Chinhphu.vn) - The VietChain Talents 2025 Final held in Hanoi has become a meeting place for young talents to affirm their technological capabilities, and at the same time a concrete step in promoting the Vietnamese blockchain ecosystem to develop transparently, sustainably and approach international standards.

On August 23, in Hanoi , the Final Round of the Vietnam Blockchain Talent Search Competition: VietChain Talents 2025 officially took place. This is the final round, gathering the 16 best projects selected from more than 1,000 young programmers participating right from the preliminary round.

The teams entered the final round in a direct debate format. Each team had 5 minutes to present their project, 2 minutes to ask questions of their opponents, and 3 minutes to answer questions from the judges or other teams. In addition to defending their projects, the teams also had to point out the weaknesses of their opponents to create an advantage for themselves. This helped the teams practice their critical thinking skills, while clarifying the practical value and creativity of the project.

The competition is jointly organized by the Government Cipher Committee, the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Asset Association (VBA) and 1Matrix Company. This is the largest event ever in the blockchain field in Vietnam, attracting more than 300 million online visits, affirming the strong influence of this intellectual playground. The total prize value of VietChain Talents 2025 is up to 3.5 billion VND.

In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Van Hien - Vice President, General Secretary of VBA, Head of the Organizing Committee - said: The VietChain Talents 2025 Final was held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. According to Ms. Nguyen Van Hien, the competition is meant to affirm the belief in Vietnamese intelligence and the desire to master technology of the young generation.

Mr. Tran Viet Hung, Former Deputy Chief of the Party Central Office, Senior Advisor to VBA, emphasized that in the context of the recently passed Law on Digital Technology Industry, which for the first time establishes the legal status of digital assets, organizing the contest has practical significance. This is an action to concretize the policy of developing science and technology, contributing to building high-quality human resources for the country.

Lieutenant General Dang Vu Son, Former Head of the Government Cipher Committee, Senior Advisor to VBA, Contest Judge, affirmed that VietChain Talents 2025 will be the beginning to turn startup ideas into reality, building a Vietnamese blockchain community with talented cores.

From the perspective of state management, Ms. To Thi Thu Huong - Director of the National Electronic Authentication Center (Ministry of Science and Technology), member of the Jury, said: VietChain Talents is one of the important solutions to find solutions to major problems in science, technology and innovation.

Mr. Phan Duc Trung – Chairman of VBA, Chairman of 1Matrix Company, Chairman of the Jury – emphasized that the 16 finalist projects do not only stop at academic ideas but also have the ability to be applied in finance, banking, healthcare, and education. Some solutions have attracted the attention of businesses, opening up the prospect of developing into real products.

Notably, this year's Jury includes Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Mr. Teddy Hung - Director of BCG Hong Kong (China) highly appreciated the potential of Vietnamese youth and affirmed that VietChain Talents 2025 will create opportunities for international connections.

Honoring champions, towards a sustainable blockchain ecosystem

After the debate and debate, the Jury selected 4 teams to win First Prize according to each topic. Blockchain Layer-1 topic: KMASC team with the National Certificate Management Platform project, worth 1 billion VND.

CEX-DEX Exchange Topic: FidaTech team with VEXTOR project – centralized digital asset exchange, worth 500 million VND. Blockchain Tracing Topic: Web3 TraceHub team, worth 500 million VND. Blockchain Bridge Topic: AnyAxis Labs x Decentrio Labs alliance with ZK-Portal project, worth 500 million VND.

In addition, Tether awarded the "Stablecoin Application Initiative" award to 5 projects: Loragon, MSB TrustChain, Hashwei Foundation, Bamboo Team, WhiteBlue Labs. SotaTek awarded the "Technology Launchpad" award to the Loragon team. The MSB TrustChain team received the "Community Imprint" award for receiving the most votes from the audience.

Major General, Dr. Ho Van Huong - Deputy Head of the Government Cipher Committee emphasized: The success of the competition is a testament to the value of multi-stakeholder cooperation: The State creates a legal corridor and strategic orientation for development; Enterprises bring resources, markets and implementation opportunities; Social organizations and professional associations play a bridging role, spreading values.

"The young generation, you candidates, are the center and the driving force to turn knowledge into initiatives and ideas into practical values," Mr. Huong emphasized.

Not only honoring the 4 winning teams, VietChain Talents 2025 also honored the Top 16 best teams. These are the faces that have surpassed hundreds of projects nationwide, demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving ability and persistent creativity. Mr. Teddy Hung (BCG Hong Kong) expressed his belief that many ideas will continue to develop, connect with international investment funds to become real products. This shows that VietChain Talents is not only a domestic competition, but also a bridge to bring Vietnamese intelligence to the world.

This year's competition received the support of many state management agencies such as the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Home Affairs, along with more than 100 media agencies and many technology enterprises. The event contributed to affirming that blockchain is becoming an important technology platform, promising to bring many application values ​​in the future.
