Feast your eyes on aerobatic fighter jets, helicopters, and transport planes flying over Ba Dinh Square

On the morning of August 24, Su30-MK2 fighter jets, Mi helicopters, Casa transport aircraft, Yak-130 multi-role aircraft, and L-39NG aircraft conducted a formation training flight over Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi.

This is the latest activity in preparation for the celebratory flight at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (A80) of the Vietnam Air Force (Air Defense - Air Force Service).

According to records, there were 10 Mi helicopters belonging to Air Force Regiments 916, 917, 930; 2 Casa transport aircraft belonging to Air Force Brigade 918; 5 Su30-MK2 fighters; 6 Yak-130 multi-role aircraft (Air Force Regiment 940); a formation of 6 L-39NG training aircraft belonging to Air Force Regiment 910 (Air Force Officer School).

It is known that in recent days, in order to prepare for the celebratory flight during the grand ceremony celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd at Ba Dinh Square, the "most elite" pilots of the Vietnam Air Force have been practicing day and night at Kep (Bac Ninh), Hoa Lac and Gia Lam ( Hanoi ) airports.

Along with that, the Air Defense - Air Force also studied the terrain and made careful and meticulous flight plans to prepare for the upcoming ceremony.

According to a report from the Air Defense - Air Force, the air force participating in the A80 mission used 40 aircraft, including SU-30MK2, Yak-130, L39-NG, helicopters, and transport aircraft. The units organized training for 78 flight crews, ensuring absolute safety.

Earlier on the morning of August 21, 10 Mi helicopters and 2 Casa transport aircraft also conducted training and survey flights over many inner-city areas of Hanoi and flew over Ba Dinh Square.
