After the merger of Binh Dinh - Gia Lai, Gia Lai province now has a natural area of over 21,500 km2, becoming the second largest locality in the country. This event opens up a new, larger development space for most socio -economic sectors, in which tourism is identified as one of the five pillars of economic development.
Ms. Do Thi Dieu Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, emphasized the potential of "golden forests, silver seas" of the province. Gia Lai currently owns a unique tourism ecosystem, harmoniously combining resort tourism in Quy Nhon, Ky Co - Eo Gio with eco-tourism, Central Highlands gong culture, exploring the Kon Ka Kinh and Bien Ho forests.

In addition, the synchronous transportation system with seaports, airports, highways, and border gates creates favorable conditions for inter-regional connectivity, market expansion, and the development of diverse and in-depth tourism products.
“The province has a huge potential for tourism development, not only in terms of resources but also in the ability to form value chains from agriculture combined with tourism, smart tourism to developing international-class destinations.
This is an opportunity for Gia Lai tourism to become a spearhead economic sector, contributing to realizing the goal of making the province a new growth pole in the region," Ms. Hanh affirmed.

Representatives of the Gia Lai Provincial Tourism Association proposed that the province should identify and position its tourism brand as "Gia Lai - where the forest and the sea meet" or "Gia Lai - a journey of two ecosystems of forest and sea".
Building communication with stories and emotional images that spread across digital platforms is essential.
The Association also recommends building unique and distinctive tourism products based on existing products, researching and combining the development of unique products that include both forests and seas, and the culture of ethnic groups in the province, such as "up the forest - down to the sea" tours.
At the same time, it is necessary to build new products with orientation towards each market, each customer group, especially towards the international tourist market. In addition, support the construction of a common promotion channel for tourism resources and tourism products of Gia Lai province on social platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, Zalo, etc.
